NMB was on the eve of coming down hard on IAM.

IAM caught wind of it and went into full blown panic mode and revoked the petition, pissing off the NMB big time. How dare they attempt to get one over on the NMB and then revoke the petition. Blowing up in the IAM's face.

And somehow we are supposed to believe it was revoked because it would be "faster".

Yes, I'm all for the DOJ to concluding their investigation, and having the whole story see the light of day. It's an entirely reasonable request.
