I am clapping and cheering so loudly I can''t catch my breath. The gestapo raid on the Tampa hangar was an insult to everyone of us who worked there. It was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING that managment lied ("We aren''t closing the hangar" and so on) until the day the dirty deed was done. That was my final straw with US Airways. Any company that is so cowardly that it must conduct its dirty work in the wee hours of the warning and that blatantly and publicly lies to and misleads its employees is NOT WORTH WORKING FOR. I was sick and tired of selling my life to a disfunctional company with honestly evil managment.
So, I hope that US Airways gets their butt spanked pretty hard for this fiasco. Yes, I''m disappointed that the hangar was closed, but I understand that financial situations might have warranted them closing the facility. However, common decency is a requirement for business. Period. You do not lie or mislead your employees. When decisions are in the works that might effect your people, you give them good information. Not keep them in the dark. Imagine how quick you''d get fired if you were dishonest with US Airways?! But it''s acceptable to them.
