Iam Really Is A Scab Union

It seems to me that any union member who crosses another union member's picket line is a scab. It's just that simple.

The quickest way to stop a strike and get everyone back to work as quickly as possible is to just shut the place down.

Unions are becoming worthless today. The brave men and women of the past who took a stand and put it all on the line during the times when there were no safety nets, like welfare, Medicaid and food banks surely must be rolling over in their graves.

How could anyone deny that the "Farting Machinist" have not turned themselves into an organization of "SCABS FOR HIRE" after reading statements made by them like the ones below.

Northwest told the International Association of Machinists it could take over those tasks after union officials warned their continued cooperation depended on it.

De Pace's union is a rival of the striking Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association, which lured machinist members away in the late 1990s.Getting the machinists union to cross AMFA's picket lines was a crucial part of Northwest's plan to defy the strike and operate a full schedule of flights.

All afl cio unions are only intrested in dues payers! They would sell out their own mother to keep one more. This will be a moot point when in bankruptcy. All airline employee's are going to get hosed soon enough. As it stands now AMFA is the only union with any guts!!! I know first hand that the iam is a scab/puppet scam. When the entire industry has had their pensions stollen and their wages/benefits trashed and the execs walking away with millions it will be to late. The writting is on the wall. OPEN YOUR BLIND EYES YOU FOOLS!! Don't rely on the unions to do anything for you cause they wont!. We must take matters into our own hands. The End

Short term memory?

Go ask the agents what happened in 1992 with no union.

It would really be ironic if laid off mechanics from NW went to Boeing to cross the machinist [scab] union picket line. :p

If IAM GVP Roach applies the same reasoning to the Boeing scabs as he did at NW then to be fair he will have to call them "BROTHER".

The IAM needs to change their motto to the "Fighting Scabs" or maybe the " International Association of Scabs"

700...you're an apologist for the IAM making your posts and yourself look foolish. I am NOT slamming you, only pointing out what is apparent to everyone who reads you.

The IAM has a dismal record at best while the leaders are still living high the rank and file suffers. They are not kings or Gods to be worshipped, they are men who failed the membership. It's painfully obvious yet you get on here daily playing the fool for them.

No union---well that would equal the same results that dues paid for.

As they say: Semitics...
The IAM provided me with a pension which I really am grateful for
I am "not" slamming unions and like I said I am glad I got my "little" pension.

Guess you forgot all the years you made high wages and enjoyed great benefits.

Guess you forgot the HMO huge grievance.

The huge 401K grievance.

The Airbus Arbitration, even though it was a shallow victory.

And I guess you forgot that ALPA, AFA, CWA, AFPA, APA, TWU, AMFA, IBT, and other unions have given concessions at AA, CO, DL, NW, ATA, UAL in one form or another, so it is not an IAM problem it is an industry problem.

I love how you can only point out the bad things and never the good,.

I agree with all of the above, but the bottom line is they are crossing a picket line hoping to pick up additional jobs if the strike would end in the company's favor  Union=strength in numbers, sticking together...the IAM is ignoring this! Their time will come at NWA and what support do they expect?
