Where did you get your degree to be a financial planner/pension expert?

How long have you been practicing financial planning and pension planning?
We all know the answers to those questions, you are not an expert nor anything to do with pension and financial expertise.
LOL..... Hold still and let me insult you expert. LOL

Hey 700, you are nothing other than a Richard Noggin. Take a break or few days and stay from the forum's, you don't have to be a RICHARD every day.

Not all of us are like you and rent out your brain to someone.  Tim, and all of those informed, read the documents of the plan, live the plan, and were burned by the plan. I, for one, would be very interested in seeing a refreshing video.  Educated persons don't need a stock broker to handle their 401k and they don't need an IAM pension trustee explaining the plan. In fact, if someone wants to be lied to or smoke blown up their ass, that's when they should listen to anyone associated with the IAM. Have a good day!  It will be refreshing to watch a video of an actual IAM member explaining the plan and the pitfalls.

An IAM Member who's only connection to the IAMNPF is being a member.

Do you ask the janitor for medical advice?

And you aren't an IAM member nor are you a participant in the IAMNPF. You make this way too easy.

And neither are you and you never were.

Dont let the facts get in your way.

And I was an IAM member for 20 years and an airline employee for over 20 years.

Can you say the same?

Answer the question.

Both points are true, though I still contend that a "fourth leg" of financial education should be added to the retirement stool the IAM likes to talk about... Actually, that should go for all organized labor...

As for the DC vs. DB argument, in the end whichever path most empowers workers is the way to go. I'd also add that at a *minimum* a one-time choice between either should be offered.
