The word from the union stewards is that the company wants to farm out catering and Central Load Planning.Where does it end?

How in the f@#! do you think about farming out Central Load? What's the rationale there? Someone asked where it would stop. The answer is that it wouldn't until U was a "virtual" airline, or was 95% YV.

 I know guys in clp and with out them U is going to have a hard time getting planes off the gate never mind on the runway.

Hell let the Pilots do the W & B....They will be doing it on the Aircraft of choice, the EMB170.

Hopefully it will end in a profitable, growing and expanding company with opportunites for employees to grow and ultimately prosper.

Yeah, all 300 of them.

My understanding was catering would be a goner when the contract was renegotiated.

Keep in mind, the parts of the contract that weren't altered by the concessions ARE open for renegotiations this year.

Prior to the creation of CLP in the late 90's, the station performed w&b. We have maintained our quals ever since.

And Hope777 makes a good point. Express pilots do their own w&b....slowly! ;)

Your whole contract is not amendable until 2008, no part of your contract is up for renegotiation.

Well then, you need to straighten out some AGC's, because that's straight from the horse's mouth.

I don't out people on these boards.

I read the term sheet pretty close and what it says is " terms stated HEREIN shall remain in effect until December 2008..."

There are several articles that are not 'herein' the term sheet, nor were they addressed in the concessions, and I have been led to believe they are amendable per the original contract.

Of course, if the company would provide a copy on the revised contract, as per the agreement, it would clear this up.
