I wonder if North Carolina would convince Kroger to move ^_^. Although does Kroger (or any of its divisions) even have a presence in Charlotte?

Since a majority of Chiquta's operations are overseas and the corprate offices are basically the only part of Chaquita in Cincinnati it was an easy target to persuade to move. Kroger would be a different beast with its corporate office distribution centers and commisaries in already in Cincinnati it would be very very expensive to get them to move.

Well they are the largest grocer in the country, & I believe they are one of the largest employers in the Cincinnati area.. may as well poach the area, right???

Tax incentives...only reason why they moved...I am sure that if OH gave up that kind of tax money, Chiquta could have cared less if there exec's had to make a connection in DTW or ATL....WTF did Jerry Orr have to do what this? All he did was sound like a hilbilly with a twitching eyebrow....
