I have talked to one of the people that was there on the TWU side face to face - I choose to believe him - I stand by my position on the 22 EX-employees

"Union reps are here to represent, not

judge, when you judge you become the company,

not the union"

hold the phone......

Fred Says ruling based on past precedent forthcoming much

to western man's chagrin

so now Fred the mole works in the nmb too! he's been so on everything else like us not having enough cards to even turn in for a vote. it's time to stop beleiving in fairies.

never Said Fred is NMB....just connected....PHX too...IBT'r from way back..... ;)

about those faries.....

You have been IAM to long Dell, you seem to have a problem with the concept of someone that stands up for what they belive is right reguardless of whose side. I have no problem sleeping at night with this - and this is part of the reason why I have people from outside my work area requesting me to represent them as a steward. And Piney you are right - that is why I have had such problems in the past with the IAM. Company man - I have been the author of some of thier least favorite grievences so I guess that takes me off that list. But I am considered fair and reasonable by both sides. You should try it sometime Dell. Standing up for what is right and not what you are told to feels good.

no one is coaching me AWA...its a matter of procedure and tenet, call it what you want..
same as our legal system....innocent until proven guilty.
i represented people to my fullest capacity whether i disliked them or liked them, whether I new they were right or wrong....I put that crap aside because i am not a judge as you must be.
it was my duty as the fair and impartial representitive of that member who needed assistance.and thats the way its supposed to be done, except maybe with you.
I wish i could say i feel sorry for you but i don't.
glad you'll never represent me ;)

with what you've implied,i take it when some IBT member screws up and is guilty, you recommend to the supervisor they fire him?

dude you need deprogrammed bad, whats andy got you smoking?

no - I have never recomended anyone be terminated - but there has been those that I was glad they did - only those for fighting. I have endorsed attending anger management and harrassment training.

thats all well and good, but the bottom line is,we as stewards have a commitment to our membership free of bias and personal predjudices which you have shown to have issues with.

this is quite reassuring from a professed union steward and negotiator with IBT.

so which do you support?

those who screwed up because of incompetence....or those who got into a fight....maybe due to incompetence  ?

you sir are the one publicly losing respect for what you pretend to defend and believe in.....

where exactly do you draw the line??

What about when the company fires both members for fighting and one was only defending himself?

We are here to represent, not judge.

You guessed wrong once again, out of the 22 only one was an AGC.

I guess you dont know the law, first of all I have not heard of 27 people getting fired.

Second the law mandates the IAM defend them, is that too hard to understand?

Third, the COMPANY does the hiring not the IAM, and the company scrapped the bottom of the barrel when they hired all those rampers in PHL last year.

And I doubt Doug did that.

Seems one day Doug went to work in Phl on the ramp as a new hire. Caught some doing all kinds of bad stuff. They went to lunch--Doug went and changed and came back as himself--27 heads rolled--caught them steeling, damaging and all kinds of stuff. I say that took guts. Told one of my friends in Int about it she passed it around and you should have heard the applause from there.[/i]
No truth to this......
Wish DP would do this.......
But he did not.
The great majority of those 27 would be young african americans.....US is scared to death of "the race card"...and everyone knows it.

Looks like a poster has posted something that has not occured to try and smear the IAM once again, looks like your true agenda has been brought to light.
