Iam Concessions On The Way

I like this statement it sums it all up..........This is standard IAM procedure; They beat their chest, utter bold words of defiance...and then proceed to beg, cower and whimper at the feet of wealthy executives. And that is without question a major reason why they dont represent Mechanics at SouthWest, Alaska Airlines, NorthWest Airlines,American Trans Air,Atlantic Coast Airlines,Horizon Airlines,Mesaba Airlines, and United Airlines. The only reason they havnt given in so fast this time is because of four letters..A.M.F.A. I was Misrepresented by the IAM at UAL and the secret letters and back room deals were their specialty. Im truly sorry for the Mechanics at US Air. Maybe they wont have you vote twice this time.

If they give this time , whether it is in the form of concessions, re-vote or confusioned, I believe the IAM representing what few mechanics and related are left at U will be history!!!! But I doubt AMFA would even want the sorry few that are left!!!!!

Let's just pray that the Airbus arbitration is ruled in the IAM's favor. That is first and foremost.

Secondly, the IAM will eventually talk with the company. The IAM is a business entity that will look out for it's own best interests.....like the IAM National Pension Fund. The M&R employees are but a tiny percentage of the overall IAM membership nation wide. It is not out of the question to write such a small group off under the right circumstances. And to not recognize this fact is simply naive.

I'm not worried about the AGC's either. I am speaking of the VP level of the IAM doing the talking behind closed doors. They run the union and the AGC's must comply with the orders sent down from the top. Essentially the AGC's hands are tied. To believe otherwise is just plain foolish.
