I just worked with a former "EAST" F/A - Many topics

I'm sorry to correct you, but the turquoise crayon is handed out after you write 10 co-workers up.

It certainly is fun ratting out your co-workers!!!!!!! So, I bet that comes first. Ask Heinrich, I think he teaches that class.

How about a toll-free snitch line? 1-800-CRANKIT.

Oh, I bet you that is how they prefer to hear from writey uppys--if they depended on their website, they would never be able to suspend people because the site SUX

OK…. Let me explain some of my personal feelings toward this site’s postings. I am so sick and tired of (***YOU***) US EAST FA’s criticizing our WEST policies and procedures way of doing things without even finding out why we do them. Also the feelings of “Sense of Entitlement of STATUS†of your own importance and worth. Without even considering our feelings and our emotions of the west.

We are in this “MERGER†together and yet you still seem to look and chat/talk down about your western co workers as we are lower/or not as worthy or valued as much as you guys/gals on the east side of operations.

Have you ever looked in a “WEST†IOM to see what policies and procedures we have? I am not defending our p/p them…. I am just saying. I can say I have seen and looked at your EAST manual. I have found some things pretty much the same and some not so much. I find out that sitting on the Swivel Jumpseat is totally ridiculous in my thoughts. Did you know at not all carriers that fly Airbus don’t sit on the Swivel Jumpseat? No…. Some of them sit on the outbound aft Jumpseat near the 2L door. … U guys/gals make snide comments about how we disarm our arm/disarm our doors. Or how we service/or a number of things.

Have you ever stopped to think about what you say about your snide comments about the workers of the west (FA’s)? Before you type them?

Have you even once thought about “WE DO THE SAME JOB†as you guys/gals? Just a little differently?

For this MERGER to work we must come together. I don’t have ill will or ill feelings toward you EASTIES. But we must be ONE. NOT WEST/OR EAST but US… and comments which I will not post below do nothing for your sympathy causes of trying to persuade our minds in the west. Such as Boarding/who can pick up trips/ such as in our base/or yours. Telling us that things should and wishing p/p will be done the EAST WAY. Examples: such as picking up trips, switching days off, and vacation, boarding, service onboard, picking positions to work, and many other things. .

The East may have a bigger group of flight attendants, but when we come together it’s not going to be a pretty picture unless we can find common ground. It’s not a threat but a reality that will not be good for contract negations or personal relations in a very professional field of work. Also IF WE(WEST/EAST) want a good contract then WE need to come together.

And making a scene with complaining, fussing, and carrying own, about how it was before the merger, before the cuts, before this/before that…. does not do any good. America West Had Problems as did US Airways. Unless we find UNITY with each other in Websites/Jumpseating/and our own emotions and feelings we are never going to become US Airways the way it can and should be.

NO… I am not a company person/I am not a Union person either. I am just someone who is sick and tired of you bashing my job/my professionalism and my co workers in the west. That has taken a lot of un-professionalism comments from a group of guys/gals that claim to behold and value the “IDEALS†of a professional group of flight attendants. Yet seem to not show or bestow that value toward you common co-worker… Which performs the same job you do for hours on end? That comes from the same backgrounds/education/and experience as your group of flight attendants. That is the same as “YOUâ€.

Why can’t you guys/gals see this…We are ONE… NOT EAST/or WEST… We are the SAME… The Same job and the same ideals/values/emotions/and everything else a human is… WE………. Us and YOU… US Airways. 

I can't wait either. I'm in CLT and I have to listen to the" Well at Piedmont, we used to:" crap. That was 17 "freakin" years ago. My god. I liked the speedbird also, but lose that mentality. Hey the Wright Bros. did things differently also. When I was in PIT years ago, I never heard the senior F/A's ever say" Well at Mohawk, Lake Central, or Allegheny, we did this" And thank you for that. It gets so damn pathetic.

Today, I flew with a friend whose crew ended-up working a west a/c due to some irregularity. She said it was like working on a third-world carrier. There were very limited supplies. Everything was somehow smaller, or less. The liquor kit only holds 25 minis, and she said that there was no VODKA! At east, the liquor CART on narrow-body domestic holds 140 minis, 40 beers, and 40 wines in coach, and there is a second fully-stocked cart for F/C. The wine in F/C on this west metal was the small twist-top type. They received ten tiny bags of ice. Four bags equal to one east bag. No condiments. No milk. When she called catering back, she told him that this was not enough supplies for a PHX-DCA flight. She needed FULL catering. He told her to call dispatch. She said, "For what? You're standing right here, just give me more stuff!". The caterer said that it wasn't authorized. So they left with minimal supplies. I wonder if this is standard.

On the way out to PHX, her crew as well as a west crew deadheaded on east metal. The working east crew came around with the standard bottles of water and headsets for the deadheaders and the west crew refused. This was odd. Were they afraid someone would write them up for watching the movie, or what?

With comments like this no wonder the company has some attitudes to adjust over in the EAST....

I dont know who does your catering in PHX... But why would there not be any VODKA.... I had it on my flights today that were had catering... Unless they ran out...

Again.... I had my catering... Yes. Here we go again "AT EAST".....

Our carts might be set up different. Who knows things can happen but one mistake is not the end of the world... OMG... NO MILKS...... I am sure east catering might have forgoten something in how many years you have been working at US Airways....

Yes... If we dont have catering... we LEAVE... WE dont hold for catering no matter the "WEST FA's wishes or wants.... NO HOLDING FOR CATERING... in any situations... that's how we keep our ON TIME record...

They might be, or they might have slept or they might be that they felt that the EAST CREW felt that they were not worthy with comments such as a third-world carrier.....HUMMM Makes ya think?

I hereby grant you the permission to make fun of DC-9s and call me a piece of Rusthead trash.

Vodka is on the MEL.

The working east crew came around with the standard bottles of water and headsets for the deadheaders and the west crew refused.
That is strange. Did they just sit there and study their manuals?

On trans-con, you bet we'll wait for catering. There is NO WAY we would go across the country or the pond without being properly catered. BTW, with our own caterers, when we ask for an extra___________,they give it to us without making us call DISPATCH for some authorization. These are differences that we will discuss because the east should not, and WILL not go to policies that don't make sense.
