How Low Does Employee Pay Have To Go?

MmW,

The problem is that Dave & Dave say they have identified $200-300 million in cost savings for next year not counting what may or may not be in "the plan". You're right, we don't know where those savings are coming from so we're just going on past history.

Both of MarkMyWords last two posts were excellent and well written.

All of the network airlines have a CASM that cannot compete with the LCC's and we all know it. Instead of complaining, let's see what the transformation plan is after January 1 before we pass judgement.

What is there is a reasonable plan that works? Does it not make sense to evaluate it and compete versus "whinning" about myopic management?

The world changes and so must business. The railroad and department store industry's did not and failed.

Either labor and management find a reasonable solution to survive or we will slowly bleed to death. There are no other options.

Chip

I don't behave like a dog who will come back over to a person after it was kicked hard in the face twice wagging it's tail and immediately forgiving its foe. What you are saying here is act like a dog, sorry but I am human not having that kind of capacity in me, but I am glad you do. Stop asking me to roll over and bark please.
