Heard there would be an announcement on AFW Friday.

So what? It's not like I posted a new thread to discuss the USAirways flight attendant contract here on the AA forum. 😀
I simply posted it because that's when you'll probably hear about AFW's future.
Are we? Maybe 20% of our contract group makes the top rate, that would be line aircraft mechanics working nights. The small difference in pay is wiped out because we get a week less Vacation at every step along the scale, then add in the Holidays and sick timethey get and other work rules and they are ahead of us.
They have been in Mediation since July 2011, Come this July they automatically get a 3% raise and that should put them above even the line night mechanics without including Vacation, Holidays, sick Time etc.

Yes but as I stated in the TWU Negotiations thread, 4768, the membership first only looks at their hourly rate. Then the other componets come into play. It is interesting that when you calculate our compensation that you bring in all factors. A lot of employees fail to even consider those facts.

Yeah, some are quick to call stock option bonus awards compensation, but refuse to see pension benefits and cost assoociated as compensation, and so rightly viewed as ignorant and unreasonable by those paying the bills.
I not only want a vote on TWU International Officers I want a vote on who in total is on the negotiating committee and now the creditors committee too.

The dust has settled now that it is midnight. Yet again a lot of strife and BS over a false rumor filled this topic. If AA/TWU doesn't kill us ...we will be our own demise.

It's just more Tulsa hate toward AFW. They have hated us since day one. When management was walking all over us that first year, we got zero help from them or DFW for that matter. That's not unionism as I know it.

You seem to forget that is was Koziatek and Orlando that was shafting you right along with the company and TUL and DFW probably were never even told what was taking place there. Damn place was an Adminstrative Local ran by the International for the first year.
Or did you forget that part, in your hurry to piss and moan?
I was there at AFW at that time and that is what I saw.
Not to mention the membership there didn't really even try to help themsleves, so how can we blame others?

MCI was 105% and look what happened to us. I know it's history get over it, and I have. I think it's aboslutely pathetic what I'm hearing up here at DFW/DWH your former co-workers justifying putting a red-cirlcle around this place so you can't excercise your seniority to bump a class 1 station well I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens possibly as early as mid week.
