What's new

Heard there would be an announcement on AFW Friday.

MCI was 105% and look what happened to us. I know it's history get over it, and I have. I think it's aboslutely pathetic what I'm hearing up here at DFW/DWH your former co-workers justifying putting a red-cirlcle around this place so you can't excercise your seniority to bump a class 1 station well I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens possibly as early as mid week.
Exactly what I am talking about. Makes no sense to shut down the bases that put 100+% out. Best thing is to expand DWH and move all AFW people over there, seeing AA is renting this land over here. 1st smart move would be to move us to DWH. Makes way to much sense to AA to make a maintance base right there at a main hub. But oh well what do we know, all we are is a number to AA.

That would make to much sense !!! That's why it won't happen unfortunately ...

You seem to forget that is was Koziatek and Orlando that was shafting you right along with the company and TUL and DFW probably were never even told what was taking place there. Damn place was an Adminstrative Local ran by the International for the first year.

Or did you forget that part, in your hurry to piss and moan?

I was there at AFW at that time and that is what I saw.
Not to mention the membership there didn't really even try to help themsleves, so how can we blame others?
Oh that's right, it is typical TWU to take zero action yourself and blame someone or something else for your own demise.
Sniffle, Sniffle. There is more truth, I bet you are mad as hell at me now.

Always someone or something else to blame, while never changing strategy.
Sum of our life as TWU Members. Poor Little Guys, we have been mistreated and victimized our whole career, and it is because nobody helps us.

They knew exactly what was happening at DFW. We tried to get in their local but were turned down stone cold. So obviously you don't have a clue.

Consider yourselves lucky there that AA still realizes the importance of keeping the in house heavy maintenance going. United shed all their heavy maintnance obligations and closed Oakland, and the Indianapolis base. They are in cahoots with AAR which has hired all the old UAL management to re-open the INDY maintenance center. Believing that all the old UAL employees would come on board for half the price. They are doing 737 heavy checks on UAL aircraft exclusively at this time.

UAL in April of 2005. I believe there are major MRO players that would seriously like to expand their operations at AFW, or TULE for that matter, to increase market share over it's rivals. Volume in a low profit margin sector is imperative. AA is now expanding it's 737 capabilities in Tulsa and would be ripe for going in "cahoots" with an MRO. History can indeed repeat itself.
