Good article on LCC buying AMR

"Vaughn Cordle knows the airline business well. He has deep industry experience
which combines nicely with his financial and forecasting skills. Vaughn
communicates effectively, and is a welcome and knowledgeable contributor to the
ongoing debate about how to fix our diminished airline industry." March 1, 2009

--R. L. Crandall, Retired Chairman and Chief Executive, AMR and American Airlines

“Vaughn, you and your team are to be commended for the consistent quality of
your analysis.” March 2008

--Glenn Tilton, Chairman and Chief Executive, United Airlines

I was never all that impressed with Mr Cordle. How long has he been an analyst?

Did he become an analyst due to his situation as a scab and was somewhat unemployable?

Frankly I think there are people on here who would make better analysts. I remain unimpressed. He seems to one of those self appointed industry experts.

Sooner or later you know it's going to hit the fan!!!!
Thats funny, last year he called the liquidation of LLC and merge between AA and B6, or AS.

I'd have to say the intrinsic value of the AA franchise is 10X that of US. IF AA goes BK and gets lower labor costs, like that of LCC, profitability goes into the stratosphere.

Absent a deal with AA, where does that leave US? The last thing AA employees want is anything to do with US. Besides, the resulting labor discord would make the current problems at US look like a tea party.

A couple more chuckles...

There's another thread I remember about USA320 throwing rocks at Cordle, then in his next breath, and true form declares Frontier a merger candidate with LCC.....

You can't make this stuff up!!!

:D :D :D :D

This may not be worth anything but heard from a co worker that he has a friend in another station who wanted to transfer & was told no requests being accepted as US was getting ready to purchase AA.

So are two of your USAPA boys. What's your point? Scabs don't seem to bother you when they work for your union

Scabs bother me a great deal, though I contend we only have One on the East still left..and he is unfortunately on the BPR at the wishes of less than 24% of the CLT pilots.

What are you doing on your side to scrub out the scabs? Seems nobody, not any West pilot will speak of such matters. Guess that is what happens when you have so many, many scabs in your ranks.

Our scab has at least been outed, though not ousted. How about yours..any luck? Do you have a list? (I do)
