Really don't know if all that blame lies squarely on managements shoulders. Giving the weather this time of the year, thunderstorms popping up in the afternoon and evening just in time for the Intl departures and the "Philly" factor, the place slows to a crawl with rain let alone a bad storm!! Mix those two ingredients together and add U's management team, and now you have a real mess!!!

Maint showed F/O windshield cracked.
The return flight left FRA about 10ish their time and is enroute to PHL to arrive about 135am. Before anyone starts a new thread about why MAN is 5 hours late tonight, when I left work this was the plane skd for that flight returning tomorrow about 4 hours late. If things keep up, the line of flight should be back on skd tomorrow night out of PHL.

Something MUST be done about these crazy hours RESERVES and RESERVES ONLY are being forced to work. We need shifts or some sort of International reserve. This is total BS. Not only are people on duty all day waiting to be called but you are basically going on about your day. You get up in the am and make some breakfast, check the computer, do some cleaning, check the computer, eat lunch and check the computer....this is all F'n day. So now you get a call from a friend telling you to go to option 44 on catcrew cause trips are popping up like mad. So now your intent on watching your number fall like walmart prices. It's BS. Ok so now you are too SICK to eat dinner because your heart is in your throat with anticipation of the unknown. Finally you wind down and try to go go sleep. At 11pm your OUT COLD and dead tired from, well just being UP ALL DAMN DAY and scheduling calls. You don't answer the phone and your in BIG TROUBLE. Well that very thing happened to me and I am OUTRAGED. OUTRAGED for the simple fact that I was called for this trip ONLY to not even be legal for the G'damn thing. They can take that Halifax, Frankfurt BS and stick it. I WILL be filing my complaint with the FAA...never fear. I was TIRED and was SLEEPING. I also got called by mother who's not feeling well at 11:30pm and missed that call too. THAT one I'm worried about. 
My neice is a f/a for Delta and her friend was working the ATL-MAD flight on March 18 this year. An engine on the B767-300 was shut down over the north Atlantic and the flight diverted to YYT. The pax were told another a/c would be there in 4 hours to continue the flight. Thirteen hours later the a/c arrived in YYT to continue the flight.
Never heard a word about this in the media.

Yes but US Airways seems to have a problem with getting their chitty chitty bang bang fleet to operate their tiny T/A operation on a daily basis... Don't believe me....check out LHR tonight 6/28 with a scheduled departure of 10:45pm. Well my friends it's scheduled to depart PHL at 2:05am. Yes you read that right. AND would you like to hop on MAN tonight? Think again my fine travelin' folk....CANCELLED.
