Just read a news blurb that said it was possible engine failure. Another A/C was dispatched and the flt was 15 hrs late! Ouch!

Hope everything turns out alright. Thanks for getting our passengers there in the middle of the night. I hear it was quite a fiasco getting recrewed. When exactly are reserve flight attendants suppose to sleep? This is a prime example of the need for a separate International Reserve or shifts. You can't get up at 6am waiting to be called by the phone all day only to go to sleep and get called out to go to Halifax and onto Frankfurt. It's not safe and the human body doesn't handle it well. I hope you all called AFA and more important if you were tired, filed a report with the FAA. It's the only way they will take notice is by sending it to the oversight agency.
Last night was a total mess in PHL. BRU left 6 hours late and ZRH didn't take off until 05:50 am this morning recrew again. And it's only June.

And word on the street has it they are already having issues with flights tonight. If I cared anymore I would be outraged.

I just don't get it. US has a FRACTION of the international and, more specifically, transatlantic operations compared to some of its nearest legacy competitors. Yet, I don't hear about these things on those airlines with regular frequency.

I'll let my jury stay out until the Fall when all the summer numbers have been released to see how US TA ops held up against its close competitors (specifically, those in the NYC area where congestion and ATC delays are actually on par with PHL).
