Mike,
As far as I can tell they have to go to a brief retraining to fly under AA metal as it operates under a different certificate. So I think the answer is no.
I believe a fine reading of Jane Allen''s post indicates a "no." Once over to the other operating certificate you cannot fly AA metal with being retrained.b

Thats what I was thinking. Yet I can fly on one of the planes after reading that silly booklet and entering the SPC code.

The silly booklet is referring to Aircraft that have been converted to the AA certificate, there will still be some subtle differences, like on the Reno MD-80''s. There will be a T80 or some similar qual added to your lines after studying your booklet.
Once trained on the LLC aircraft and certificate, the new STL people will be restricted to TWA aircraft and will have to go through a five day refresher course to go back to AA. Expect this to happen later this year as LLC aircraft continue to go over to the AA side.

Can the f/a''s forced to STL and being trained for the TWA eq. Still fly the AA eq?

Hello Mikey,
It is my understanding about two certificates, you can only work under one. So you do the training for the TWA stuff, and if you are able to transfer out of St. Louis before your AA quals are up, you just do EPT''s as normal. If you are able, and choose to move, and your AA quals have expired, you have to do some sort of retraining. I think it is not going to be as long as what was required by FAA for TWA metal. But you can not fly AA while flying TWA stuff, and I don''t think you can jumpseat either, but I may have misunderstood that one. I have heard there is not a lot of difference between the two, but FAA insisted on the length time for training, even tho AA asked for it to be shorter.

Mikey, a couple of my friends are going to STL, I had them on my flight the other day after they finished their training. To "come back" to AA they have to go through a 3 week LOA training cycle. They said that a lot of the procedures were different than AA''s and that is what takes up most of the 8 days.
