First US Airways Aircraft Painted in New AA Livery Will be Delivered on January 30th
To: All Employees
Good afternoon all,
As an important step in the integration process of the new American Airlines, the first US Airways aircraft has been painted in the new AA livery and will be delivered on January 30th, as Doug stated in his State of Airline Meeting today.
The first aircraft, an A319, will look like the American Airlines aircraft painted in the new AA livery except that it will have the US flag over the aircraft number on the nose gear door and an “Operated by US Airways” aft of the L1 door. This will help differentiate the carrier (Legacy American or Legacy US Airways) in which the aircraft belongs to.
