Fixing Philadelphia

"If" the "Inmates" are still "running the show",then PHL IS still in serious trouble.

Can I assume that all The brothers on the Ramp are in full uniform complience ??????

NH/BB's

PS, Great food in PHL though !

As for the terminal conditions, the city needs to take some heat...Does the city use public money or is it user fee funded? Either way, if the city can not operate a clean efficient operation they should consider privitizing the airport.

I can't believe your call sign is a star! ZETHYA 08554+0557 +3.1 +1.00. Hey bash the 'burgh all you want. At least the air is clean and we can see stars here. In order for you to see stars out your way you need to cut the pollution with a knife. PHL is a dump, always has been, always will be.

Another empty, immature, posting from a disgruntled PITtSburgher. Why don't you spend your time fixing up "beautiful" and economically depressed downtown PITtSburgh and growing its White Elephant airport that your city fathers so naively built on the basis of a single airline's success. Your senseless bashing of PITtSburghs Big Brother across the state has become tiring and a waste of bandwidth. You should fall on your knees and be ecstatic that US Airways provides even half the current air service to your city that it does - no other airline would! Face facts, PITtSburgh is NOT a major U.S. city or destination (and probably never will be) and that is the ONLY reason US came to its economic senses and de-hubbed it.

Why don't you just tell that to the hundreds of thousands of the great EX-Customers of ours whom will never fly our airline again because of the poor performing and delay prone hub in PHL. A hub can only be successfull if it is run efficiently and PHL never will be efficient, face it.

"An efficient hub is still the most cost-effective way to run an airline,'' Rick DeLisi said. "Every single low-fare carrier runs an efficient hub. The only way a hub doesn't work is if it is run inefficiently.''

Ray Neidl, an airline analyst with Blaylock & Partners in New York, said that hubs are still profitable, but that many legacy carriers like US Airways have struggled to run them efficiently.

Okay...one must assume that you "fly in and out of there for 31 years" because you have no other choice? There can't be another reason can there...I mean who would purposely fly into a "dump" with "horrific" service if they didn't have to???

It was nice to hear from an employee on the ground in Philly that he/she has seen improvement. Real improvement comes from the inside working out and if what the employee on the ground says is true it's the first step to real change.

That's funny because I here from employee's on the groung in PHL every week that tell me it's worse now then it ever was, just keep on listening to the company B.S. or maybe you'll believe anything they put out.

Oh, and by the way I just talked to a friend who works in PHL this morning and the big news about this 20 million belt system being built in PHL for bags hasn't even begun to be built but according to company P.R (B.S.) it's supposed to be completed by October.

i have met tony grantham on a flt from phl -clt. what a nice guy. he saw me a week later and came up to me to say hello . remembered my name and everything.

Don't forget Operation Move and the war that took place.

PHL never will be efficient, face it.

Defeatist attitude...you can believe it if you want.

Well sounds like folks have different perspectives on the Philly situation. Some think is better some think it's not. Somewhere in the middle lies the truth.

How long does it take to build one? I'm not an engineer so a little help please.

Maybe the Iranians will aim their new shiny nuke on the "City of Brotherly Love." Jersey would appreciate the nice big landfill hole.
Ooops, me bad.
