FCFS Handicapping System

Ahh, but your proof, just because you can hold it, doesn't mean your man enough to make it... Good longevity call staying below the radar...
Your co-pilot material.....

Your contract doesn’t address travel benefits. You believe your employee group should take whatever management gives you. You believe your travel with the company is a privilege without a say from your union. Did I get this right ?????
Don't read or put words into something that's not there john. Read ten more times if you need to, I said no such thing. I will say that I have worked at AA for over 31 years and it has been FCFS for those years. Apparently the union doesn't feel it necessary to include that in negotiations and no one has complained. If and when they decide to include it, fine, I will vote yes or no on the whole package, not just because it does or doesn't include travel benefits/privileges.

I hope that answers your ridiculous question john john!

Can we please not turn this into a pilot thread.

AANOTOK,

I'm sorry if I have been coming off a bit standoffish, so to speak. I get where you are coming from and maybe I was taking it the wrong way. Some of the things posted here, not by you, were, to me, made to seem as we here at LUS should just take it in the shorts, just because LAA does it that way. My sole point was and has been, that it is a contractual issue, and either way it turns out, one side or the other will have to adapt.

No problem irish, and no need to apologize to me. Healthy debates and different points of view are fine.
Obviously you speak from the heart and not anger...totally respect that! Peace!!

It sounds like some AA employees resent the fact that US has union negotiated travel benefits and AA has travel privileges without a say

I personally don't non rev hardly at all but it would be nice if we cld have this issue resolved faster than say my own grievance..

now should the arbitrator rule in the IAM's favor  how will ole DP react?????

"take it in the shorts" your kidding right lol? raises, job security, access to much better network, and a myriad of other benefits? call me crazy but that doesn't sound like taking anything in the shorts. what did AAers get? nothing but continuous whining over doh.

I suppose FCFS would be workable, if indeed it worked.

Checked in 24 hours before a 5 pm flight tonight...was first DS2E on the list (aactually, the only one).

Showed up at 4 pm, and the flight was delayed and got out at about 6:45.  Next flight (which operated on time) was at 6:30 and there were a few non-revs checked in for that.  So, the 6:30 flight got out before the 5 pm flight, but no non-revs got on either.

But the standby list rolled over the non-revs on the 6:30 flight ahead of me.  They could not have possibly had an earlier check in, since my check-in was 25:30 before their flight.

Yet they boarded in front of me.

Nice work, AA.

You still made your flight. Where's the problem?

Only because of two misconnects.  Had they shown up, I would be left standing there, while two non-revs (one who worked for a wholly-owned less than a year), who could not have possibly listed before me, flew to destination.

I can only hope it happen to you on regular basis, especially when its the last flight out.

No, some AA employees are just sick of hearing about your goddamn union negotiated travel benefits.Somehow AA employees have gone on vacation and gotten to work for decades with the status quo.

Bottom line, US employees aren't the bigger employee group in this particular merger. They've always been the bigger, surviving group and this time they aren't, and it rankles.
