Failed to Connect to Shares

They finally brought agents in from the west today to help out the massacre going on in philly. Trouble is, even they can't get the tickets out of the machines. I do believe our company does not know how to fix the problem. It continues to fail. When will the passengers finally catch on?

Was in CLT all morning today. The lines to check in at 800am were very very long.
Later, tried to access the ETC to check flights and list. Could not get on. ALL MORNING. Tried to call the employee travel line anyway, after over an hour on hold...hung up. Went to the employee travel office. Computers were down, unable to help. There was NO BACK UP PLAN.
Told over and over that employees must book online. Can't get online. Guess when employees can't get to work and flights are cancelled as a result, then maybe this house of cards will be rebuilt. Should have done it right the 1st time. Someone here used to say, "Fail to plan, Plan to Fail" How true.

I've been trying to purchase a companion ticket for three days now. Still can't get into the ETC. Any ideas? My friend is supposed to come visit on Tuesday.

Okay...this is bugging me big time. The company isn't doing a great job fixing the glitch because the glitch is...

THE PEOPLE

I'm sick of the East agents complaining that QIK/Shares won't do what they need it to when they won't even try.

For cryin out loud people get used to it...thats how its going to be. The resistance to change is AMAZING with an airline that was heading down the tubes faster than a fat man in a water park until they got bailed out. Part of why the computer system won't work for you is you refuse to learn it!

Don't assume I don't know what I'm talking about, I spent PLENTY of time in Philadelphia working with agents...and saw this first hand! This whole attitude of "well this thing sucks I'm just not even gonna try" doesn't work at all, incase you haven't figured it out.

Who's fault is it that tickets won't print? The West? Isn't it your crappy equipment from the East? Well, atleast now they'll put in a requisition to get new ticket printers. But you should probably blame the migration anyway.

Here's an idea for the agents who simply cannot stand the new migration and think that the "Tempe boys" are ruining everything:

Just a short story. Took my brother out to GSO to catch a flight yesterday. 50% of kiosks (3 of 6) had "Out of order" signs on them. The working kiosk took all his info, but wouldn't issue a boarding pass - agent had to do it.

So tell me again how it's the East people that are the problem? Or how these "crappy" kiosks, that had been working fine until 3/4/07, are the problem.

One thing for sure, though - if this keeps up, nobody in Tempe will have to worry about THE PEOPLE. There won't be any passengers to serve so it won't matter.....

And how is it exactly that the East is responsible for the ETC not working? If I can get to the point where I can see flights, then it won't book me. I get the "SHARES NOT AVAILABLE. TRY AGAIN LATER. Oh yeah, Fenix, it's all our fault here back east.

Please DO NOT tell me the kiosks are going to be THAT slow from now on?

THIS BITES  BIG TIME.

I booked a trip on AA and their computer cancelled my reservation out, due to a duplicate. It cancelled out the wrong one but now I have to live with it? I'll just call up my Credit Card Company and stop the unauthorized charge. I thought soething like this would happen to US.

The problem is that you're using reality to judge results  .

Just keep reading the press releases  and you'll realize that you're only experiencing a few minor glitches in an otherwise enormously successful undertaking.....   :censored:

You are so out of touch that it hurts!!!
Yes, it is the fault of the west, or shares, or IT,to be more specific.
Lets make that management!
It is not the fault of agents not willing to embrace the concept of QUIK/shares.
That is all we have. No choice.
The printers don't work, the kiosks don't work, the formats don't work.
How can that be the fault of the agents?
Are you retarded?
Oh, that's right, you wouldn't know.
The long bus missed you long ago?
It is not working.
Just try to rebuild an engine with legos.
Thats just pathetic.

The answer to the question, do we have the tools to do our job?
No way!!!!!!!
(er, I'm certain,extremely junior,.FenixFlyer3) Duh!!

What was that flavor, tropical punch? OH YEAH!!!

Well....8 days later and STILL on the news for computer problems and delays in PHL. Wow, these IT guys rock!
