Well..AA never called their 747's "skyliners." Maybe I'll change it if I ever come back, since I'll be new again....Maybe to something like Neo...ah Neo"American."

What about your signature, TWskyliner?  It makes no mention of AA.

I would have been very proud to represent American Airlines just as was proud to serve at TWA for over a decade. I will first of all always be a TWA flight attendant (in my eyes as well as yours) just as my OZ friends ID themselves as such.
As the clock keeps ticking and as I am 2000 away from recall, I see no evidence that I will ever be an AA flight attendant.

they should be fired. No warnings no suspension nothing that type of behavior was not called for.

Something is fishy with this and the next post by "operaations." They serve to confirm my suspicion that "garfield/operaatioins" are one in the same.

It appears "operaations" forgot under which screen name he/she was posting as then reply quoted himself/herself in the very next post. Notice the distinctly different tone and style of each post as evidence of his/her effort to misrepresent.

I have no personal axe to grind with this individual so perhaps this should just be chalked up to "who cares". However, it should give everyone reason to pause and take everything posted by this individual with a grain of salt.

Well if you only had 10 years at TWA you are not that old, 2000 away from recall, you may see it sooner than than think. The question is will it be worth it to go back?

Here in aircraft maintenance we are seeing an exodus on a scale I've never seen before. Most of the younger guys that got laid off dont want to come back , older guys are retiring as soon as they can and even those in the middle, in their 40s are quitting to start all over somewhere else. The company was offering 13weeks of pay for those who opted for the SIS but I hear that they have cancelled it. My guess is that in a few years the airlines will be complaining of a shortage of workers again.

What on earth is wrong with using TW in a name. It is many years and a whole career for many of there people.

Thank you Mikey for being the voice of reason. I appreciate your comments.

nbmcg01 managed to turn this into yet another "TWA vs AA" thread by posting her comments: "So AA and so sad," as if TWA was so perfect. The TWAers had their controversies, divisions and fights, as well.

LOL

StraaightTaalk, please notice that I said ALL factions. This was first posted by a nAAtive f/a, carried to an all TWA board, discussed by many, all without first hand knowledge. You are absolutely correct in the fact that TWA had/has their divisions. But that being said, I have NEVER (in 35 years) seen a company that loves to write up each other the way AA employees do...and take such joy in another's poor judgement. My guess is IF this rumor is true the following will happen...1. AA will be fined by the FAA because the f/as served a pax who was intoxicated. FAR violation. 2. The Purser will be reprimanded for allowing the situation to escalate. 3. The person in question will be offered EAP services and lose passes for a year. Anyone want to take bets?..lol

hunter....that was a good one. Conspiracy theory on a message board. I was only taking a step back and not convicting ther accusers with out knowing the details. I automatically jumped to the conclusion that they did what was said. It is a rumor until otherwise proven so.

Thank you Wayne,

It's good to know there are a few people who think like you do....not enough, but a few. Safe flying to you!

I have sent an email to THB inquiring as to the truth of the posting and what her course of action is to be, if true, and why the union has said nothing in defense of Ms. Lukensmeyer if it is not true.
[post="276856"][/post]

It has now been a day and a half since I sent the email. No response, as yet. I'm afraid that this silence lends credence to the story. I also posted an inquiry on an AA f/a bulletin board. Another member of that bulletin board posted that he had spoken with 4 f/as who had worked the flight in question, including the purser. According to the poster, 99% of the story is true.
