Can someone from Delta please explain in further detail the differences between the S2 and S3 travel priorities?
Does everyone at the company get the same travel priority, and just board the flight based on your company seniority?

Employees board based on company time.

S3 ANNUAL PASS/ALLOTMENT/TERMINATION -TRANSATLANTIC/PACIFIC -PAR/NON DEP ONLY W/EMP-DOMESTIC -FORMER DL-WSPN OR DT -DL/EV/OH EMP/SP/DEP/PARENTS -PROSPECTIVE EMP /TODAY AS DOE/

Employees also get Vacation passes that are S2's. They get 3 a year, I think.

S2 S2 PRIORITY PASS TVL DL/DT/FMR DL WSPN EMP OR SINGLE DL EMP PARENTS *ASA 1/1/00 W/PPR. OAL BUSINESS TRAVEL. OAL S2A COMPANY BUSINESS ANNUAL PASSES. *USE TODAYS DATE AS D.O.E. FOR OAL S2/S2A TRAVEL*

S3B RETIREES/PARENTS NONDEPENDENT CHILDREN OF DL EMPLOYEES AND RETIREES/DISABLED EMP/WIDOWS OF EMP /WA **EARLY OUT**/ -DL RECOVERY VLT PARTICIPANTS AND FURLOUGHS AND THEIR PASS RIDERS

Thanks for the info BrokenWrench,
One more question though.....does everybody get the same allotment of s2 and s3 passes or do mgmnt / engineers etc get more? If the common employees are restricted to 3/ s2 passes a year and mgmnt has unlimited s2 passes, I can see it being difficult to get on a plane, just like it is here at NW. Mgmnt (+family traveling alone) is always getting on before us.

All get the same allotment. No higher boarding priority for mgmnt folk.

However if you travel on CO buisness you book a confirmed seat in coach and STBY for first. You will be the very first non rev to get the upgrade.

If you are above a certain level in Mgmnt, grade 6? I think, you can book first when on company buisness. That is the only extra that I know of.

I think many at NW will be happy that as a 20 year FA for example you will board with your family ahead of the 5 year FA base manager.

Yes 6 S2 (vacation passes) Unlimited S3,one of the few things our seniority counts for is flying.

Director level and above get positive space first/business for themselves and their families whether on CO business or not. Other than that, it's straight company seniority. I'm not sure how many people are director and above. They are also listed as "Medallions" on the departure report so you might not even be aware of them.
