And remember his lawyer was in the car with him at the time.

Trust me on this...there are two things you get when you pass the bar exam--a license to practice law and a coupon for a liver transplant. if he is anything like some lawyers i know  he was passed out in the back seat drooling on Sherri.

Everyone go Here quick !!!!!

Before it is retracted

FAUX news is on the case

Tell me besides the sensational highlighted words what is very wrong with this clip!!!

I feel a lawsuit coming. Wonder if Rupert will have to do another mea culpa.

Sorry Dr K. but we part ways here.

Here is a guy who wants the press when it comes to being a family man and a Sunday School teacher. He can't have it both ways. Why did he hide for a week and a half, no doubt hoping this would not come public. Where was Dawn in all of this, and you know who I'm talking about....

How much effort was put into keeping a lid on this? I also find it VERY interesting that the Queen of spin, Elise make the following statements..

A US Airways spokeswoman told the Tribune late Thursday the 45-year-old executive, whose given name is William Douglas Parker, was giving friends a ride after they had too much to drink. Parker declined to comment. But the spokeswoman, Elise Eberwein, said she talked to him about the arrest.

Eberwein said Parker told her he “is embarrassed beyond words and knows more is expected of him.â€￾

She added: “Knowing Doug, I do know he would not get behind the wheel of a car if he felt too impaired to drive.â€￾

Parker told Eberwein he believes the results will show his blood-alcohol level was below the limit, she said.

Why is he hiding behind her skirt. Why is he using a US employee to defend his personal actions. Why has he not spoken directly with the press?

This man is not a worthy leader of people and appears to have snowed many of his true character in PHX. His action in handling this incident speaks volumes.
We have all done it. To bad the rath he will take, but it is expected when you are a CEO.

It may not be a "him". Note that the General Counsel for US Airways is a female. Senior Executives.

 How sad that some of our employees are so quick to cast stones.
The reality is that the analysis of Doug's blood has not come back or been reported and in this country all people are supposedly innocent until proven guilty.

It's easy to rely on would've, could’ve, should’ve but he didn't injure anyone. Agreed, he made a poor decision but we all have one time or another.

I personally, support him and wish him all the best. I'm certain the embarrassment alone is enough of a punishment.
:(

For what it's worth, .08 is very low and one could feel just fine but still be legally intoxicated. And, honestly, we've all driven when we shouldn't have ... it happens, some get caught.
Actually, USFLYER, we "ALL" haven't driven when we shouldn't have. I certainly have my faults, but don't assume we all lack the judgement to know better than to drive while intoxicated.

If it were up to me. . . DUI would carry the same severity as Attempted Murder - Why? Becuase they are the SAME THING - rather you feel "buzzed" or feel like you are ok or not!

Give me a break longing,
He's doing exactly what you or I would do. Listing to his lawyer. You going to fault him for that? I don't think he's going to get special treatment. He's too big a fish.
Here's what I wondering, if in 12 or 13 months, he's gone. I don't know how he sits with board. CEO's are under a different light now. After the faild DA deal, and now this, I don't know.
At the end of the day, he's not going to jail. He'll pay a fine, maybe some comm. service, and that's it.
That may not be enough to save his job. I'm sure he's sweating right now over that.
Just so you don't think I'm his big defender, I'm not. The smart thing for him to do was call cabs for everybody. It would have cost a couple of notes. No big deal.

Listening to his lawyer??? I believe he had one with him and was one of the drunks he was driving home...

Think he could use some new representation...and rehab.

Think he could use some new representation...and rehab.

Maybe AFA can represent him and send him to BHOP in Florida. He could bond with all the other employees that are there dealing with their demons that are mostly work related.

DRIVE HAMMERED - GET NAILED

If he was in trouble, why was it announced in the press nine days later and he did not disclose it to the employees?

700, leave it alone already. He got arrested and will get a hearing. At least he wasn't drinking beer, wine, booze with the money of the many hard working IAM members who see their dues money often 'liquified' at meetings, conventions, etc.

regards,
