Yes, many of us on this forum work for JetBlue. However, I don't know any of us who are part time. Hence, we do not know the answer to your question. Sorry.

What is jetblue's pay scale for agents?
What is this 5 year thing?

I don't know the pay scale for agents.

The 5 year "thing" is what it is. If you're not liked my management after being employed for 5 years, they hand you your walking papers. If you mention the word UNION on the property, you will be fired. The airline is not worth it and you don't want to work for them or any airline.

Many JB employees will tell you the 5 year deal is not true. Just ask JB employees in person and they will tell you that it is true. The ones on this board like B6Busdriver aka "Jelly Donut Numbnuts" is in management and will tell you nothing but lies. I have 6 JB flight attendants in my crashpad in NYC and they have confirmed that the 5 year deal is true and they're firing people.

Go do something else with your life and don't waste your time in this crappy airline industry.

I can't speak for another employee group, but I can say that not one pilot has been let go at the 5 yr point, "non-renewed", or whatever you want to call it. Not one. Every pilot who has been terminated, and there aren't many, was fired for cause. Not for mentioning the word "union". Not for grumbling in the crew room. Fired for cause, as in, a union wouldn't have saved them if there was one.

I'm not a management pilot, have never been a management pilot. I just saying it how it is. B.O.B. has an axe to grind and repeats third hand information to advance an agenda. Be careful how much weight you put on his/her/its rantings.

And, of course, the flight attendants have all the inside scoop on the pilot contracts...

This is why I decided to turn down the job

I worked for USAirways for 20 years...took the buyout, and life is great.

However my medical insurance expires after Jan.

that is why I thought of taking the job offered to me at JetBlue and when learning that for part time they only have employee benefits..even though the "part-time" employee is scheduled 30+ hours a week????

This to me is not part time. If you are working me more than 30, hell..give me full time status!

If the health benefits where for family/employee I would have jumped on it..becasue...believe it or not I LOVE the airline industry...been there since I was 18....and YES I would have jumped all over the 7 dollar and hour paycut...and yes I would have still paid 300 dollars a month for family coverage, had it been offered...

And JetBlue would have had ONE totattly COMMITED employee to make sure every person she dealt with left the counter/gate/ramp feeling like a million ;)

its obvious that B.O.B is just a jealous idiot trying to start rumours of an airline that is making a big upstart in the airline business, and that this airline actually cares abour its crewmembers and customers.
