In support of our striking Northwest Airlines Mechanic and Related workers and to protest the UNION-BUSTING tactics that Northwest Airlines has taken throughout the negotiations, a rally of all unions, all workers, on the picket line at DFW Terminal E, gates E1-E7 on Saturday August 27, 2005, from 10 AM - 12PM.

It is advised that you "do not" wear your company uniform to this event.

Please make a point of showing up for these two hours, your support is greatly appreciated.

Since the first rally was a huge success, another is planned for Labor Day, September 5, 2005 from 10 AM - 12 PM.

AMFAMAN,

There is also one in San Francisco:

LABOR DAY RALLY PLANNED AT SFO International Airport

September 5th, 2005
SFO International Airport, Terminal 2 (the old International Terminal)
Rally will begin at 1100 and end at around 1300

Also, I would like to thank TWU Local 563 for their support!
TWU Local 563 (Illinois)

Paul McCormick understands real unionism.

He needs to replace that fraud of an ATD Director Chicken Little.

Local 564 (SAN) yesterday had our union meeting at Spanish Landing. This is a small park area across the street from Lindbergh Field (SAN). We had a bar-b-que union meeting and our Chairman invited all the striking NWA AMTs to come over for a free hotdog, water, soda and encouragement.

This was a nice offer from one AMT group to another. Times are changing.

I couldn't agree more Ken. You guys know what unionism is all about. When the TWU plans what to do on labor day, more than likely a parade and a bar-b-que, real unionist will be picketing and/or supporting picketers.

Ken, thank you and thanks to your group at SAN for leading by example.

Jim Little, pay attention and learn how real labor leaders should act.

Yeah, they definitely need a reminder. I was the only person there from 09:45(time I got there) to 11:15(time I left) today. This (to me)was unacceptable we have over 2,000 A+P mechanics working for the airlines in the DFW area and to have a turn out this poor is a discrace. This rant doesn't apply to the NWA guys(all 14 of them) or the regulars(like me,Joe,JimmyJohn,Russell,Gary,Dan,etc.) that have been picketing Northwest's gates at DFW. We've been picketing for two weeks now in the Texas heat and could use some relief personnel.

Oh well, at least my conscience is clear. I tried to do something to keep the profession from dying. When the axes fall at SOUTHWEST and AA and people are crying how could this have happened. I will just tell them. Remember those guys from Northwest that tried to do something while you sat on your butt and voted yes to more concessions?!

I hope that tomorrow we will definitely have a better turnout than today.

WOW, what difference a day makes! We had at least 250-300+ people show up to picket today at DFW terminal E. We made NWA so mad they called in the cops trying to bust it up! To all the people from different airlines, unions, trades that showed up thank you from the bottom of my heart! We kicked NWA's butt hard today!
