Does the American UCC know or care what we give up for the last 8 years?
Is bankrupt company now going to make us whole for what we give up in the past?
I keep hearing about the UCC controlling these negotiations, but what skin does Parker/Kirby have in this game?
How bad do they want our cooperation?
We are trading a bankruptcy contract for another bankruptcy contract.
When we signed our last one, the company promised we would share in the recovery and reap the benefits.
There is a lot of money in this agreement, but there are a lot of concessions, too.
Areas I'd like to see changed:
Medical Insurance - deductible and copayments are way too high.
STD (why can't the east have the west's deal?)
Why only 5 years grandfathered on the insurances? APA has their pension for LIFE. We should get lifetime extension on Life Ins/Surv benefits/STD west plan for all USAPA pilots.
We gave up profit sharing for a 12M credit? Do the math. This year USAPA gets 22.9M to distribute. We got shortchanged.
40M signing bonus divided by 5060 pilots = 7905 - 25% fed tax = 5928. Really?! That's my incentive to cooperate with this management team? That pot needs sweetened - what happened to pay parity payback over the last 7 years?
Sorry, the concession stand is closed. I'm voting NO. There is a better deal to be had in the 11th hour. There always is.
Cheers.
