Cwa News

Although the supervisors at the airport are CWA, they have the worst and most stressful job there. Dealing with agent problems, dealing with pilot and fa problems, and the worst: dealing with the general public and their whinning and complaining CONSTANTLY. Only a fool would do that job for the same pay as agent rate. It's not worth the aggrivation for .50 more per hour as it now stands. Employee moral is in the toilet now, and when the pay cuts hit, it's gonna be even worse, but that is not something that Jerry Glass and his fellow pests in CCY concern themselves with.

This is a group that should not be taking any more cuts than non-union management. These are folks face the wrath of the disgruntled, non-tolerant flying public every day. Whether on the phone or face to face. Every single person in management should try it for a day. Then they would too agree. CWA should stand firm on no more than 5% of W2 cuts.

And one more thing, if and when the company pulls through this nightmare than the number one focus of upper management should be to improve the morale of the employees. No more cheap attempts. If they don't then this whole transformation plan will have been in vain. I can tell you already that the flying public is treating the USAirway employees differently now that we are in bankruptcy. I hear it all the time..."No wonder they are dying", or from the neighbors "How are things? I am so sorry about what's going on". Sometimes I think the best thing to do is just close it down and start over...at least with a fresh new name. Right now most of the employee's are being treated as if they have leprosy.
