CWA Negotiations Update

The union giving up BSO was a mystery. But an even bigger one is the new company planning to continue outsourcing it when that's already failed at LAA.  
 
So here you have it folks.....Pay increases for work rule and scope changes. 
 
Does anyone really expect NOT to give up something for a raise?

75% of us will be forced to CAR's if we don't bump into the hubs. CAR's will be to big of a pay cut. Seniority will flood into the hubs from.the fall out.
 
Another question, will we lose accrued sick pay monies in new TA? Currently 1400 hours at half pay is 14,400 dollars at retirement/separation.

Doesn't matter when.....It has been the industry norm for quite some time. We are not getting ANYthing without giving SOMEthing up.
There are some people who expect the company just to GIVE us a pay increase and wave goodbye and say see you guys in a few years.. I understand that we SHOULD NOT have to give anything in exchange, but the reality of it is we will have to.
 
The company is making billions, why should we be giving up anything? America is desperate for a middle class. Why are they making billions? Because airlines have been allow to get rid of debt in "bankruptcy" and to gain "pricing power" thru approved mergers. It's time for them to help bring back a strong middle class .... CAR's will not do that. America needs a middle class or we all crash.

I don't think your figures are correct, but we will run with yours.
If you don't have enough time then you may have to transfer to a station that is junior to maintain your present status and pay. 
From what I read on this TA, you would now have if it is voted in, 12 days a year sick leave. And that would be, use it or lose it. Finally, don't count on collecting half of your sick time bank, they may cash you out at 25%, not the 50% you're thinking of now.

You don't know what either side will do.

To some extent. not as bad as some people are ranting about. What gets me is the company really needed for the CSA agents to integrate (1ATO/gate) maybe they could have held out and saved those BSO jobs. Why  the company would want to contract out that job function is beyond me.

The only side that matters to me is the agents, only because we follow them very closely in money and other items, but this is none of your concern so, shoo fly shoo!

 People like you make me laugh....The overwhelming sentiment whether it be on this board or on the floor is that WE WANT OUR MONEY.....
But the union leadership and other ilks like you start preaching "money isn't everything." The cost of living has skyrocketed without our wages keeping pace......
 
Sorry 700, I will not vote to save jobs. I did in the past contract after contract and guess what? All those jobs disappeared anyway. 
 
Under this TA 85% of current CSA's will be forced to CAR. CSC group will be the only one seeing $30.00 an hour and they will be hammered with work. New CAR's can't touch computers to help with irregular ops, boarding and over sales. WOW! 
 
Can't believe Jerry Glass trick the negotiating committee into this!
