Delta or United. Which business model will it be Mr Isom? Read this article and weep.

McDonald's has more skilled employees than United's vendors. The turnover is endless.
Most of the Envoy employees I know say they will quit if they take over our flights. They will not work like we do for their pay.
You better take care of the employees you have until you can replace us with new technology. That's at least 5 years away.

I have close to 2 million miles on United. When they merged with CO, I started to use the CO operated flights and loved them. IAH and CLE had great staff. Now 5 years later the employees are all mad at each other and new customer service rules, and outsourced staff make flying a pain. I did make a round trip on them about a month back. It was fairly short notice and comparing flights on line I found I could return in first class for just over $50 for what American wanted. So when I got to the airport I tried to check in at one of the kiosks. The system could not find my reservation. Finally went up and spoke with an agent. It took her several tries and she said the system cancelled out my flight because the incoming flight plane would make my departure two hours late - I would not make my connection. Since I had a 3 hour layover in Houston that would not be a problem. Getting my paid first class seat back was like pulling teeth on a chicken. And oddly weeks after the flights, there was no credit on my FF account. And one note to United: Please train your staff at United Express only cities to know more about the system and reservations system. It is sad when a customer knows more about the route system than the employee. And to Mr. Munoz - along with talking with employees, do an undercover boss and travel the skies.
