Company match for the Medical Prefunding any word yet when

So you all are under the illusion that we will be getting our money back from the company match???? hahahahahahahahahaha

We will get it, right after the shaft those that gave them years of service are screwed out of their medical benefits. First us, now them.

Well, I would say that the TWU international could take that $5 MILLION they are being reimbursed by AA for the cost of negotiations, and use that to help the retirees out. Of course Jim Little and Phat Don probably feel that's their profit sharing.

Yep, that or a class action lawsuit. U in?
If I remember correctly it is a total of $51 million. The way Horton is spending money like a drunken sailor they will keep it. Of course I would be in on a class action law suit. But I have little confidence in the justice system. The way Little and company were so quick and happy to give it away is still aggrivating to me. But I disagree with Informer on this one. I think Horton will do what he can to keep it. If he can't then he will try for a PR shot by setting up a VEBA for the retirees so he doesn't look so much like the greedy elitist he is.

The Judge will make his decision on January 28th, at the completion of the 1114 hearing. If he decides to terminate the fund and screw retirees, you get your money back. If he votes in favor of the retirees and they continue to get some type of medical, well, your match is their money. Don't see how you have grounds for any lawsuit unless AA refuses to give you your match if/when the Judge terminates the fund.

Technically he cant 'keep it". It has to go to the employees, however that doesnt mean he cant "use it". He can use it to buy good PR by claiming that they are goiing to allow the fund to stay in place and continue to provide benefits until the fund runs out, at the risk of further pissing off the people who still work for him or he can say that AA is terminating the plan and returning the assetts to their rightful owners.

We agreed to this by tying our refund to the 1114 process. We never should have agreed to that but you can thank those who voted YES if we dont get it.

Unfortunately I don't have to go too far to thank those who voted yes since 74% of Tulsa voted that way. But these are the same people who elected a fleet service clerk as local president. You can't fix stupid.
