<_< Not that it was a problem, but Bear was never a AMT. I think he had more sence than that!!! :p Anyone that's an AMT today either has to be totally dedicated to aviation, or totally insane!!!!! I can say that because I've been one for 35+ years!!!!!! ;)

I'm not familiar with "AMT". Will someone educate me here?

Is an AMT a A&P certificate holder?

Oh that's rich. Now anyone who flies Northwest while scabs work it are associated with the scabs? You going to be a jerk to customers now?

One of the stupider takes on this board, ever.

Yes, if you knowingly fly a scab operation, you are associated with scabs. You obviously have exposure to this industry and know what it means to scab/strike.
If you think the issues facing airline labor today are about "being overpaid and featherbedding", you are an "idjit". Do you have a family member holding a certain national office? With one of those circley-kind of offices?
I don't work for NWA, so I have no problem pointing out what a jerk you are being.

Your rambling argument does not make any sense. Exactly what do you propose to ensure a livable wage? If you think "government is the answer" you would be wrong. Legislating a livable wage, by raising the minimum wage to $10/hour or $15/hour or whatever the definition of livable is, will destroy jobs and drag everyone's standard of living down to the lowest common denominator.

If you want unions to produce a livable wage, I have no problem with that. My comments on industrial unions are that they are stuck in the past with respect to the ability of the company to pay these high wages. By making unreasonable demands, unions have chased off manufacturers overseas and are now threatening the survival of legacy carriers in the new LCC environment.

Something in between Wal-Mart's illegal aliens & mandatory off-the-clock work (a.k.a. slavery) and featherbedding work rules & monopoly power wages would be nice.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but SWA pilots make 50% more than UAL 300/320 pilots (with more days off).
Jetblue pilots make more than Ual Pilots flying the same a/c.
What featherbedding are you talking about?
Did you learn everything you know about labor at the airlines by reading The Wall Street Journal.
ps-SWA is heavily unionized, yet one of the most efficient carriers. Also one of the highest paid. How does that fit into your theories?

If everyone who flies Northwest starting tomorrow is a scab then you have quite a witch hunt ahead of you.

Good luck. You're going to REALLY need it tracking down all of those scabs. ;)

Yes, I'm aware of that. But we are talking about NW employees, not UA.
