What a noble quest indeed. But, but your honor; I just want to be magically made "13 or 1400 numbers" senior to myself! One couldn't make such incredible insanity up for even remotely believable use in children's comic books.
Once again, I submit that NIC did noone any favors.....actually just screwed the whole works for everyone. IMHO, Afshin Iranpour made a bad choice, based, of course on Nic's screwed up info. However, most of us have made bad choices in our lives, but didn't sue anyone to try and gain 13-1400 numbers. In 1979, with 400 hours in my logbook, I was told by Sam Walton himself to come back when I had 1200 hrs and I could fly for Walmart. ......hmmm, wonder who I could sue for making the choice of this career over that? breeze

This is your blind squirrel moment! The Company will indeed not be paying the 181 rate, because they will be paying the 124 rate. The merger is toast.
Pages and pages here of the West class saying they should have been briefed on certain matters, and us making fun of them for not doing the heavy lifting reading of the MOU. And you come here making the same claim about a small pay raise matter I see as trivial at best, considering this merger dies (or lives) in the span of mere weeks. Please, give me a break! Get your sigs and recall Gary, how hard can it be to get an election called just using the unhappy CLT pilots, egged on by their Reps? Shut up and do it, get out the clipboards and stand in the airport, just like Gary’s supporters did to get him elected.
I read the MOU as we get the 181 rate if the POR falls after 1 Jan. Maybe the Company will read it differently, or just steal it from us, I have seen both approaches. But if there were any gray area (and again, I don’t think there is) do you think it prudent to publically tell the pilots “psssst, this might not hold up!”? I am not on the inside, I have no idea what is going on reference this (I doubt anything) but for gosh sakes, is there any pilot in CLT, much less a CLT rep, who is capable of some sort of strategic thought process? (apparently "No.") RR
Between the orginally posted, long-since-infamous-and-removed "goat video"/bestial porn, and the subsequent "You know why I hate you guys!?...I hate all of you'se!"....I (after shaking my head many, many times in utter disbelief) did have to reluctantly realize the true "class" and "quality" of the new "brothers and sisters". Well...mostly anyway, since I still find myself sometimes simply shaking my head in disbelief....

Thanks for the clarification Barrister, I knew what you meant anyway. As a trivial housekeeping matter, here is a suggestion if you want to copy the original post and the reply. Simply highlight, then cut and paste the entire post and reply into a blank message. There might be a better method, but this works for me. Take care, here is my example using your last post:
