The twin towers went down from the top. I believe the heat caused entire floors to fail and collapse on the next one below and accumulated a shear load each floor was never designed for and resulted in total sequential collapse.
You have to realize too that the building utilized an exoskeleton type construction where the outer skin of the building was the load carrier and floor attach points.
Building 7 looked like it went down from below like 'controlled'.
not according to this report which seems to indicate the failure began around the 13th floor and collapsed down. Just like the twin towers. The steel failed from an uncontrolled fire. Then again, a good consipracy is hard to kill, so another group stated that firefighters were kept away from building 7. You can't win.
