Better Pay AND Better Wages???? Isn't that the same thing??? Yes, UAL US NWA didn't VOLUNTARILY, give up pay and work rules under a threat... They actually had to carry through and negotiate our contracts for concessions instead of just "handing them over"... We all lost our pensions, but we at UAL still have better work rules than AMR fa's and we didn't sell out under a threat... What you failed to realize is that they can still dangle those pensions in front of you, AMR kept those pensions to its advantage for more concessions this round.. Unfortunately, this is obviously something that you or your union doesn't understand... What are you going to do this time when they say "oh, the economy is too bad, we don't have the ability to raise cash and we can't compete with airlines that have lowered costs through BK".... Will you give up more to keep the carrot alive or do you stand up and tell them enough is enough... It will be interesting to see, I know my dear friends at AMR have had enough, you really don't make that much money, b/c your work rules stink.. WORK RULES = MONEY!! you can get money back easier than work rules.. Put that in ink in your diary..
You are really going to try and sell the fact that you have it better than AA F/As do??? Please you gave it up twice.... Whats left over ???? Better work rules???? For your information we have decent work rules... Our pay is about $10 more per hour than yours including our incentive which kicks in after 70hrs. Our VC is better... we can still extend our VC..... having 14 days turn into 20 days or more...shall I go on.... We have our pensions.... Please....

Amazing how "new" posters write and type exactly like donttouchthebeauty used to. Same writing style, same capitalization quirks, same obsession with AA's pensions and work rules. You can change your name, but the tune remains the same.

Who claimed to be new? Sure not me, and Missy, obsession is not the word.. To be honest with you, I didn't even have a pension in the fight, so I could give 2 craps less. And don't forget - Dont Touch The Beauty, b/c "your high flight pay" can't buy beauty... Don't Touch... The problem here lies in the fact that you don't like the truth, never did and never will.. It's similar to how some women aren't "satisfied" by their partners and pretend like everything is ok, and put on a happy face --- yet deep down they are not happy campers. This is you, not me... But hey I don't have to say it - it totally reflects in your posts.. By the way - I forgot to ask you FWAAA, how is it being the 2nd largest airline?? 🙄 Well It's a beautiful day here so I have to run.. Do us all a favor and put on that smile today, you will feel better. TaTa

I am not here to say that I have it good.. FAMikey said it best. It kinda depends on what you are used to.. I don't love my contract, but I love it more than yours.. you have alot of crap, just like CAL who is paid more than you are and they also have a crappier contract than you do... But - hey, who am I.. I dont mind doing 12 hour layovers in S.A. or having foreign nationals work my routes.. Please.. Or the 9.5 hour layovers, come on... Capped we are, luckily, so we cant't be ran into the ground.. Luckily I don't have to worry about this stuff as much as you guys and can take it with a grain of salt. I have bigger and better things to worry about.. And by the way, my REAL job, pays 3x yours, and I only work 3 days a week... go figure, who would have thought...

You should really know your chit before you post... Your post is beginning to sound like nonsense. I think UA has one thing better than us... they have birthday pay.... I'll take the pension over that...

NHBBs, NO ONE wants a commuter airline... Airlines are shrinking and starting to reconsider regionals-commuters as they are not that economical anymore... Trying to sell eagle will be like trying to sell a YUGO at the New Car Sales lot.. Also, US still owns it commuters.. I believe NWA owns pinnacle correct?? Anywho, point being, it will cost you more to get rid of eagle than to keep it... You could maybe sell some aircraft to raise cash.. or sell routes and gates...
Still the self proclaimed expert on everything with knowledge on nothing.

<_< ------ With the stock so low, let's hope someone like "Uncle Carl" don't get any ideas. ------ He, or someone like him, may see the money AA has on hand, and try to figure out some way to get their hands on it.-------- After all, he still has a score to settle with AA over Karabu.

Might not be such a bad idea. Remember what goes around,m comes around.

<_< ------ okc, I hear what your trying to say. ------- But I can't bring myself to be that vindictive, even with how things have turned out.

HEY(you OLD BUZZARD),

The Chiefs just got a GOOD head coach, a VERY good QB, and a Very good defensive player, from the Patriots, for the price of a K-Mart "blue light special"

You guys got your 09' XMAS present EARLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buy at $2.60 or less. By summer you'll be selling back at around $17.00 - $18.00, a $15 per share profit. A tidy sum if you can afford the part with the money for a few months and not a bad day-trade.

For instance, at 2.60 buying 100K shares at $260,000.00 with a sale in six months or less at $17.50 will yield a short term capital gain of approximately $1,750.000.00 or a realized profit of about 1.5M Dump 500K of that back in to AA stock and walk away with the 1M which if re-invested into your 401K will avoid lots of Obama fingers taking it away from you, and be mindful of broker's fees.

Of course, everything is speculative. I'm not a financial analyst. I only know what has worked for me more than a few times with AMR stock in the past.

As with any day trader stocks, the risk is your own. However, 401Ks aren't earning anything like this kind of return so a 401K loan to invest in stock while risky, oftentimes pays off a goodly amount in dividends.

Good Luck!

Still wishing native AAers "get theirs," eh twaokc?

What do you think, native TWAers are going to be exempt from any future screwing?

Keep in mind, without your dream of Icahn coming back to AA for a little payback, this company is probably headed for BK, and if not, any future downsizing and MCI is the first to go. So be careful what you wish for.

You wanted binding arbitration for seniority,, YOU GOT IT.....Go cry to Kasher.

<_< ------- Hopeless, your threats are hallow. MCI is, in all reality, gone anyway!------ "Have a good day" Hopeless!

Not a threat. But since twaokc wishes that native AAers "get theirs", it is only fair for me to remind you that MCI is gone.

All we have heard for almost 8 years now is how the TWA people got screwed. Hear's a news flash for you.....AAers GOT SCREWED TOO....PANAMers GOT SCREWED....EASTERN AIRLINERS GOT SCREWED.....WHAT FORMERS AIRLINE GROUP DID NOT GET SCREWED?

AIRLINE EMPLOYEES ARE STILL GETTING SCREWED.......
Get over it and move on...or just write a letter to Kasher.
