E,

Please tell us, what McCain could have done these last few weeks, to keep AA 's stock price from going under $4.00 ??

This MAY be the best thing to happen, meaning AA can certainly hold out longer that UAL or LCC, and Possibly CAL.

If hypothetically, AA were to buy CO in a fire sale, one would expect AA stock to rise to CO's current level.

This will come down to a game of "chicken", and IF I'm not mistaken, AA has more cash-on-hand than the aftermentioned 3 carriers !

How selective your memory is NHBB's... Lets not forget that you have the most debt over at AMR... Also, you have the oldest fleet... US is probably in the worst shape financially, however if UAL or CAL or US start to head toward the crapper they will merge... UAL and CAL are already doing alot by sharing gates and real estate, as well as all 3 being in STAR.. So, I really don't think any of them will go away.. AMR on the other hand doesn't have many options... FWIW, CAL would love to see AMR go by the wayside.. So would UAL and so would US... AMR doesnt have many options if it gets in trouble - besides BK, or outside investor money (which is nill ) right now.. One thing i believe you are right about is it will be a game of chicken... I don't think AMR will be the first to blink - but it sure might be the second...

Incorrect. DAL has more debt than AMR.

Besides, the total dollar value of debt isn't the most important metric - the ability to pay interest on that debt without going broke is, and AMR has proven an ability to service its debt.

At the last threat the flight attendants voted "NO". Then through the magic of of our union president it a couple days later it was changed. How people vote and what they are willing to do will also depend on the economy. There are not a lot of jobs waiting for unemployed airline flight attendants baggage handlers, mechanics or pilots.
I think if we were able to keep our NO vote and then filed BK , we'd be much better off today ... A contract given to us by a BK judge might have better pay, better wages and better pensions. Do you agree??? I think United Flight Attendants have a much much better deal than we do since going through BK. I might be wrong...
Or did that YES vote save us from a much worse contract???

You boys buy all you want, cause once they file BK (and they will), your pieces of paper won't be worth chit.
Now how do you know this for sure???? Have you invited to attend senior management meetings ???? Do have figures to share with us???
Thanks...

Hows this Maark-

In my opinion, AMR will file BK, in my opinion. What I do know for sure Maark, is your pieces of paper
won't be worth chit if and when they do file.

Thanks for asking...... 🙄 (Just for your info, AMR stock is $3.11 at the time of this posting)

I already sold mine.... and your opinion is just hot bitter air.... that's my opinion...

Lets not forget, that AA still has AE to sell, to raise a few Buckaroo's, whereas everyone else has already sold their commuter lines !

Better Pay AND Better Wages???? Isn't that the same thing??? Yes, UAL US NWA didn't VOLUNTARILY, give up pay and work rules under a threat... They actually had to carry through and negotiate our contracts for concessions instead of just "handing them over"... We all lost our pensions, but we at UAL still have better work rules than AMR fa's and we didn't sell out under a threat... What you failed to realize is that they can still dangle those pensions in front of you, AMR kept those pensions to its advantage for more concessions this round.. Unfortunately, this is obviously something that you or your union doesn't understand... What are you going to do this time when they say "oh, the economy is too bad, we don't have the ability to raise cash and we can't compete with airlines that have lowered costs through BK".... Will you give up more to keep the carrot alive or do you stand up and tell them enough is enough... It will be interesting to see, I know my dear friends at AMR have had enough, you really don't make that much money, b/c your work rules stink.. WORK RULES = MONEY!! you can get money back easier than work rules.. Put that in ink in your diary..

NHBBs, NO ONE wants a commuter airline... Airlines are shrinking and starting to reconsider regionals-commuters as they are not that economical anymore... Trying to sell eagle will be like trying to sell a YUGO at the New Car Sales lot.. Also, US still owns it commuters.. I believe NWA owns pinnacle correct?? Anywho, point being, it will cost you more to get rid of eagle than to keep it... You could maybe sell some aircraft to raise cash.. or sell routes and gates...

Amazing how "new" posters write and type exactly like donttouchthebeauty used to. Same writing style, same capitalization quirks, same obsession with AA's pensions and work rules. You can change your name, but the tune remains the same.

I wasnt aware UAL and NWA offered a choice of BK and the judge or work out an agreement. Since there is really no way to line to line compare work rules. I am not sure how you have single handily determined that UAL work rules are superior to AA's. One think to keep in mind is that its all relative to what you know and like. One persons hated rule, is another's dream. So what are you comparing, straight reserve VS rotation, monthly caps VS unlimited flying? What makes you think you have better rules or conditions, the long layover hotel time trigger, the minimum day, duty day what? AA FA's make more per hour, and have an easier time making as much or as little as they choose.

Claiming to work for the same airline(s) as before as before. It changed from usair to UAL from time to time.

Maark, funny how you turned my little BK prediction into something about you and your shares
and my bitterness. Really don't care if you sold or not and my prediction had nothing to do with
bitterness, just a simple prediction that I could be right or wrong about.
(By the way, if you noticed, it was about folks buying now)

Have a good one Maark767 🙄
