Personal allowance for execs is part of their salary, so that was also waived.
Totally agree, Frank. And the reality is that the cuts in management were done on a sliding scale not too different from how income taxes are assessed, i.e. the rich pay more because they won't miss it... On a percentage basis, those making more took bigger cuts. I took a bigger cut as a L5 than my L4's did. L1's in our area took token cuts, just like the agents did, because they were already fairly low in comparison to the average salary for non-management employees union and non-union.
Keep something in mind. Sure, many will hit the street in a bankruptcy. But just remember that people like me will still be on the job. We will continue to make sure AA stays in the toilet. People that keep thier jobs will be more bitter than ever.Fight on, fight on

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- AMR Corp. said Friday it has begun buying the planes used by its American Eagle unit, which it is spinning off to AMR shareholders.
AMR said in a regulatory filing Friday that it began buying the 263 planes Wednesday and expects to complete the purchases by Oct. 15.
The company said it will pay fair market value for the planes, then lease them back to Eagle, which connects passengers to flights operated by AMR's American Airlines.
AMR announced last month that it would assume $2.2 billion in debt on Eagle's planes and spin off the unit, although they continued to look for a buyer.
In Friday's filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, AMR said if the debt on the aircraft exceeds the value of the planes, Eagle will give American company notes to cover the gap.
Shares of Fort Worth-based AMR fell 10 cents to close at $3.42. They have ranged between $3.17 and $8.98 in the past year.
