At the MCI AMFA Meeting yesterday, it was announced that AMFA had received word on Thursday that the association has WON a recent scope language arbitration case.

In October 2003, Mesaba had outsourced some work and laid-off 57 AMT's.

The arbitrator ruled in the associations favor and the 57 AMT's are to be put back to work with full back pay, and ALL effected members are to be "made whole"

I will obtain a copy of this decision and post is soon.

A.M.F.A. GETS JOBS BACK WITHOUT CONCESSION'S AND THE twu ALLOWS JOB PROTECTION TO BE ROLLED BACK WITH CONCESSION'S. ONLY A FOOL COULD STILL SUPPORT THE TOTTALLY WORTHLESS UNION! THE A.M.F.A. TRAIN IS AT FULL SPEED, SOON THE NINTH CARRIER WILL HAVE A REAL BARGAINING AGENT FOR ITS MECHANIC'S CRAFT AND CLASS, EITHER GET ON BOARD OR GET OFF THE TRACKS!

Don't be too harsh on the twu guys. They know what SCOPE is. They know how to give it away! Congratulations AMFA and Mesaba AMTs! If only the iam and twu and ibt would fight for our profession like AMFA does. GO AMFA!

So lets put this in perspective,

-Amfa won to bring the members back and give them a position. In turn will bump all over the Mesaba system!

-Heavy Maintenance can still be contracted out!

Now here is a case that was lost in MEM this week!

65 Cleaners lost Jobs case presented by Seham/Amfa

You add the FM1 into the equation, what did Amfa really gain?

Both Airlines have the right to outsource Heavy Maintenance! Currently better than 50% of the Airlines Amfa represent has unlimited outsourcing! What a record to be proud of!

Why can't Amfa simply represent, without a downfall every time?

I just had to respond, shows the dysfunctional system Amfa has created!

Gee whiz cio, if you knew as much about the twu as you seem to know about AMFA I bet you would be an AMFA suppoter!!!!

CIO,

We didn't know the TWU won every arbitration case they put on. Please give the comparison breakdown? Why didn't you tell us this before?

The difference appears to be AMFA information is made public, where is the TWU information?

In the secret letters of agreement file cabinet?

I HEARD A GOOD ONE AT THE TIME CLOCK TODAY...

SOMEONE SAID AMFA HAS ENOUGH CARD AND WAS ABOUT TO FILE FOR AN ELECTION!

I told them, "that ain't what CIO says"

When is the TWU going to start fighting for jobs??? Where is the TWU's arbitration cases for jobs at the present time???

They are NOT fighting for jobs in "arbitration", they are fighting under "managements desk".

What part of UNION dont you understand?

SO LETS'S PUT THIS IN PERSPECTIVE. HEH, HEH, HEH!!!

ONE OF THE TWO UNIONS IN THIS DEBATE PUTS UP A FIGHT, WINS ONE, LOSSES ONE, WINS ONE. 66% WIN RECORD. HMMMMMMM!
ONE OF THE TWO UNIONS IN THIS DEBATE ROLES OVER LIKE A BI....., WELL...
SHOWS THEIR BELLY!!!

GO AMFA GO!! :D  :p

57 AMFA Mechanic Jobs

One AMFA Contract Arbitration

Full Back Pay at Contract Rates

Displaced Members to be made Whole

And here is the TWU's best professional spokesman making his claim to credibility fame.

Tell us again Kevin, "AMFA can't enforce a contract"?
What does the arbitrator say?

Kevin Hammack - TWU Ringleader Video

Name Calling and telling lies in less than 10 seconds... That sets a record Hammack.

CIO,
Strikes again!

Here is the "Statement of Case" from the link he posted:

CIO,

You are making a big deal out of 65 AMFA Cleaners that were fought for in arbitration. And the case "EXCLUDES RON CLEANING"

Here what the TWU gave up without a fight!

TWU CONCESSIONS said:
SCOPE

Outsourcing

FSC
Outsource RON (Overnight) and ULTRACLEAN cabin services functions

So tell us CIO, how many cleaner jobs did the TWU force to the street?

Again, why don't you hold your own union to the same or at least equal standard you wish to hold AMFA too?

AMFA lost 65 --- TWU lost 350+
Isn't that right CIO?

Dave, If you add in the pdx fiasco, amfa is running about 25% of the cases being won.

It is just another systematic destruction of our profession! Amfa leading the industry in outsourcing of work and jobs, what a record to be proud of!

TWU wins or settles on the average 85% of the arbitration cases. Word also has it the B check arbitration case the TWU presented is going in the favor of the TWU!

We also have been recalling members,

If you would get off the losing team and become Informed you would see the difference!
