I still think they were supposed to look for an alternate to the AA plan.Of course it is what i was told and did not read in an agreementDid you have the same language as the IAM that specified the Medical rates paid would be equal by percentage to what they are currently paying?
I wasn’t talking about the excise Tax language. What I was talking about was language specifying your Medical rates.
I don’t recall CWA having much ammunition to put up any fight against your rates being raised to match what LAA was paying during your Negotiations?
Now I could be wrong because this is all just off the top of my head from only briefly reading here and there some of your language at the time which is a bit back now and I’m not LUS.
I think I do pretty good frankly for an LAA guy and Yakee don’t you think?

Idiot cant let it go,better hope for our sake not Petersons that Parker etc arent vindictive. If nothing else i would think it would make the negotiating table an uncomfortable, awkward place to be.
Tim what could the company do in responce to this accusation.

Thats one thing the other is your union president saying hes doing to get parkersj job which im sure you dont believe even though you wont admit itIsom is doing a terrible job and you know it Al. Maybe you’re just not paying attention to the performance of the Airline?

Don't,feel bad last November Wed before Thanksgiving we had to ground 32 737s, so we could retrace repairs that were made. These aircraft were brought from overseas. The Feds did that to prove a point to us.
It happens to all airlines from.time to time didnt it happen to the md80s before the merger.you have a union negotiator making false allegations and you have a union president who sounds like had to take the GED 3 times before he passed and now add the association to that.,you got one big cluster f@@k try to defend them, tryDon't,feel bad last November Wed before Thanksgiving we had to ground 32 737s, so we could retrace repairs that were made. I knew i wasnt losing my marbles....yetThe CWA/IBT LUS Passengers Service Agents had the lower cost and better medical (“IAM medical”) in their CBA until the new agreement was voted in December 1,2015
Their was assures that a new better medical would be negotiated. The lead negotiators that made these statements have since left the union. The medical plan that the CWA/IBT PSA now have was never bargain or negotiated at the table. Lost all leverage and NO new medical plan never happen.
CWA/IBT had good leverage
Labor unrest and a labor dispute with two powerful large unions in section 6 negotiations that represents the group that deals directly with Passengers at the ticket counters, gates, baggage service, reservation call centers at the largest airline in the world. All while the companies try to get a single operating certificate from the Federal Aviation
Passenger System cutover had to be done with cross utilization of agents without this the merger could not be done and a union agreement had to be reached moreover CWA/IBT was the only union on the property to be in section 6 direct negotiations under the RLA unlike the rest of the employees groups were/are in joint contract negotiations
Administration and the US Department of Justice (DOJ) along with six States and the District of Columbia filed a lawsuit seeking to block the US Airways-American Airlines merger. The lawsuit claimed that the merger will increase fares, reduce competition and result in service cuts hurting the public.
You better believe the companies wanted CWA/IBT onboard
