American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

Unfortunately my Company insider is no longer in negotiations.
I could care less what union is in control. The members can decide whom they want to be represented by. Anything to get rid of this ASSociation.

If what at the table is industry leading then the union has a duty to let its members decide.

If you ever got enough cards ,I am sure it would be challenged and they would say all these groups would have to be included in maintenance. I am sure people are watching AMFA situation at SWA and seeing we are at 6.5 years, with no solution yet, and ask themselves what will an independent union do for us, with Parker and company. That might explain the lack of interest, and not necessarily their apathy.
for whatever reason, even under Little, the AA mx never wanted to leave the TWU.
And AMP seems dead.

I’m sorry to read that, seriously. It’s hard to feel like you were suddenly cut off and are blinded.

Company insider though? Shouldn’t be too hard to find out what member of Management is no longer a part of those talks? Jim Weel?

As much as your Membership (Mine as well) is not pushing (Oh they do gripe though) to have that changed and go with one Union, when we have JCBA’s in place those voices will become barely audible and you and I both know that.

If what at the table is industry leading then the union has a duty to let its members decide.

And both the TWU, IAM and the Association itself keeps telling you that it’s not.

But apparently you’ve gotten to the point where you believe the Company now over your own Representatives.

Sad to lose you IMO.

Tim there is no point asking a member of the negotiation committee cause they're not in the room but you have extensive knowledge what does the mediator actually do? Do they make suggestions do they referee? What do they sctually say in lets say a 4 hour session

It’s now reached the point where “When and where so directed” will likely not be accepted by the Membership in regards to any of our work be it Lavs and Water, Catering, Deicing or Transfer Drivers as the Membership understands what “When and where so directed” actually means.

Wages of course will be higher but what’s needed to be known is how much higher to at least somewhat make up for our terrible Profit Sharing formula/ payout when compared to the rest of the industry.

Negotiations continue this week BTW.
Per the leadership visit we all were told it wld be higher than DL n UA. The other sticking point is insurance. From what we were told the other unions regret taking LAA insurance n have asked the Assoc not to make same mistakes they did

not true. Please ask Lying Mark to cite or reference the "when and where". Thank you in advance.
He said that we will have industry leading wages but mgmt wants the when n where directed. The other major sticking point is insurance. Also forgot to mention the company realized per the negotiating team n their own that it wld be costly for them to vacate the pension so there is talk of adding either more to it .Leave it as is and do a 401K w a match plus base

Well look at what the GAO thinks.

all current employees will not be displaced from their current job or station. Period.
This is awesome protection. Bi Polar peterson is making $200,000. He is fighting for future dues.
Its inevitable that we will have to vote on the last offer. We can move forward now with the benefit of all, or wait 5-10 more years.
Proof.

We already know that it’s going to be higher than Delta or United. What we don’t know is if it will be only 3% or more (As it should be more) and what will be the percentage for the subsequent years?

I’ve heard that there are CWA representatives who regret agreeing to the LAA Medical costs and that’s understandable since at least on the LUS side that meant they received less of a raise by percentage than their LAA counterparts who were already burdened by that expense.

Did the company pull Weel out of the negotiations?

I haven’t heard Jim Weel mentioned in awhile so that was the reason I said his name. Jim would also be IMO the likely candidate to have been ATD’s source as Jim goes back a ways as I suspect so to does ATD.

I know Tim Ahern is still there and he’s the one who’s stated that he believes we have lazy CC’s in Fleet.

I’ve never met Ahern but if LAA was ever playing good Cop, bad Cop I always put Ahern in the Bad cop spot and Weel in the good role.

everything he said is secondhand. The only when and where directed is other work, plus catering and lavs. And some grandfathering in smaller stations.

The mediators are really just fascilitators. However, they will eventually advise each party of potential paths.
Based on the company offer, its most likely that the Trump Nmb will advise all parties that the process will be put on ice after spring, if the Association doesnt allow a vote, the mediators will also advise that the liklihood of a peb (which is also bad) is zero.
Sito is a liar and lied to 10,000 Railroaders 6 months ago, but he was rooted out as fake when he finally had to admit that the nmb told them zero chance of a peb.
Our negotiation team learns more thru my postings than anyone else.
A former agc admitted that i would post something, then they would ask sito, and sito would grudgingly fess up.
