If you think this card drive is a tactic to garner attention, you are as delusional as the hierarchy of the ASSociation.
I'll help you, this card drive is to do one thing.
Eliminate the TWU/IAM Association.

Also, if you believe sharing more information would have mitigated the frustration and prevented the drive, see the above ^^^ underlined^^^. If anything the increased sharing of very poor information, (because lets face it, thats all there's been in the 3 ~ plus years of the Association), would have increased frustration and the drive probably starts sooner than it did.

The AMP drive grows and gets stronger , every hour , every day. With every stupid response by the Association I see more people that are woke by just how inept they've been. The Association has been one of the strongest AMP organizers so far. It's really quite remarkable to behold.

the company wants a contract. While I may agree with you that now isnt the time to hit any restart buttons, im inclined to think that the mx deal will not keep all scope. In that sense, i could understand mx creating amp, much like I tried to stall our healthcare loss with a dol appeal. I mean, if Gary Peterson and Danker kept the scope, they would have come out with a TA and killed off amp. For that reason, amp makes sense.

It’s amazing the number of individuals out there who have a firm belief that it’s the Union who can trot out just anything they want anytime they want. They too easily forget that it’s the Company doing the purchasing of our work that needs to be determined and argued against.

The last update from TWU 591 stated that there was movement on Scope towards the Unions direction and this week was going to be spent in consultation with the Lawyers drafting up a counter proposal.

It took the Dispatchers who number only about 350 people I think over 2 years to change Representation?

It took the TWU over 5 years to gain JetBlue Flight Attendants.

The IAM has been chugging away at Delta for over 5 years (Please don’t take this as an opportunity to bash the IAM again when I’ve already read all you got)

I doubt these AMP guys even have a clue how many cards they need and how much money this is really going to take. It’s going to take a lot of money and a lot of time.

And NYer is right about one thing today. History is not on their side.

But one thing it will do is win IF work is given away. If Peterson stands by his underwear videos and doesnt give up any scope then why get rid of it?
But if peterson comes back with some 4 page document on scope that is filled with zigzags and smoke then AMP will live long. Nothing else, including history, will matter. Change sometimes has a sense of justice and it always comes when peeps least expect it. Time will tell. Hopefully, they dont rob from fleet to give more to mx.

the laa crew chiefs really lucked out if the language goes the laa way. unbelievable...and the company wants lavs instead. we'll have a handful of bad news c/c and contract workers crashing into planes and messing up the lavs.

clt is actually anti iam as far as mx and spearheaded the last election when they signed 50% cards but mostly from clt. I guess one of their main clt dissonants got blown off by a certain paranoid amp leader, so he now wants to make sure amp doesnt go anywhere since he claims its mostly LAA who want to take away his seniority.
I want amp to succeed but they arent going anywhere unless sito brings back a ta that has less scope.
