He certainly has an interest and admiration for the IAM.
The IAM hardly has any members in MIA-just a few UA PCE, AC passenger service, BA passenger service plus LUS fleet service.

I keep telling them that. Weez is the social opium of the TWU to try to keep his TWU brothers and sisters standing down. I mean, we have to give Alex credit for taking the submissive role to Sito and pushing through our stall, and Weez' deal has him singing Kumbuya with the IAM and OUR stall.
NYer might could have cooled Weez from being pimped off by Lehive, but for NYer's own reasons, he refused to give Weez the "Off the Job" promise. I don't blame weez, I'm just glad he is on our side.
In a weird way he does seem to have stronger ties with the IAM

His handlers are with the IAM. As far as I can tell, Weez and Alex are the only two from the TWU (But Alex is our gold mine) who solicit section 6 and the "Sito Stall".
Unfortunately, it looks like a Fleet Service 'offer' and not a TA may be headed our way. The MX will NOT be a part of this, from what I was told today. This only involves Fleet according to Fly. I don't think anyone from the negotiations team knows this btw. And certainly Weez doesn't since he made some comments that I know for sure are inaccurate.

W, did say it's rumored (I still say he made it up for rile purposes) you guys keep your insurance while LAA keeps theirs. Honestly, the most absurd thing I have heard in these forums in years.
So absurd I wouldn't worry about it

Actually Al it’s very simple. If you’re going to have to share a house with someone you really should try to get to know them and get along. For most people that starts with just finding a phone number and making a call. Not being nervous to talk to a stranger on the other end.
Frank O’Donnell was actually my first call. I wanted to be absolutely sure how your Seniority went for becoming a Lead. Since then yea I’ve gotten to know quite a few IAM people and reps. But as I once told Dave LeHive don’t ever be confused where my loyalty lies first. And that’s with the TWU. (As you know)
On your Medical. I just don’t think you will or can be forced to dump it. So why should I fight you guys on it. Fighting you to dump it is plain weird. Anyone who doesn’t work for the Company expecting you should is also weird.
In 2014 you guys weren’t going to move off going for your own Standalone CBA. Quite a few people including NYer were on here saying you should dump that and go into JCBA talks with us. I disagreed with them and said to certain people that TWU needs to support you (The Lombardo letter)
I see zero difference between then and now regarding your Medical and TWU Maintenance Scope. We need and should be supporting each other dispite all the stupid BS on this page. Thankfully the Leadership actually for REAL does.
