I had always thought, and still think LUS is a low cost budget carrier that is no better than Allegiant , Ryan, or some other Walmart shopper type clientele airline. Just saying, and keeping it real.

Parker would compare US to being more like Target... certainly not Neiman, but not Walmart. But seriously... LUS was Allegiant which it flew the same ratty MD-80s as LAA? Ryanair has first class service with dozens of destinations across Atlantic (more than AA handled)? LUS brought to the deal with the profitable Northeast and the eastern seaboard connecting CLT hub both areas from which AA was woefully lacking. LAA being a distant 3rd (not to mention 4th for LUS) would not be a good position against either Delta or United.. they both needed each other.

I talk to a lot of people at RDU about a lot of things related to their experiences with the IAM and other unions or even if they are interested in joining a union. I dont sit behind my camera in my safe little romper room trying to bring down a union. When is that last time you made an appearance in public, Tim? When's the last time you confronted Sito and the rest of the leadership in person as you say you would do? Im guessing never because you dont have the guts. yes, i have confronted Sito and Roach....publicly while director of organizing, at a convention where i told both of them they were Effing their members by pulling the plug on airtran and that i would have to reevaluate the united campaign if they pulled the plug.
you havent been around i guess because just about every agc i have also confronted publicly, many managers ive confronted publicly, and God only knows how many union bosses. even took the floor at a district convention in 2004 telling canale off.
