American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

I hope someone did their homework on this upcoming drive. ORD on the AMP drive was a disaster thanks to Russ. The IAM guys had little support if any. Many line guys refused thinking it would set negotiations back to day one.
Title 2 is virtually nonexistent.
How will it be different this time around?

I hope you do more than just sign a card.
Focusing on negativity of the past does nothing to improve the future. This change only happens when the majority believe in it and support it. What are you willing to do to help with ORD, Title 2, and LUS? Don’t sit down and do nothing waiting for someone else to do homework and get this done. Step up and be positive and help us make it happen!
We can all continue to be our own worst enemy, or we can unite and make change happen.

As long as the Railway Labor Act gives a Federal Legal right to have the Union Representation of our choice, we have nobody to blame but ourselves when we are getting screwed

Each Local Membership should submit motions at their respective membership meetings calling for all elected Officers to take on the record roll call voting that they believe this Association is in the best interest of their membership.

Make them take a stand
 
Eight foreign MRO overhaul lines is bringing work in?

Does WN have an overhaul facility in El Salvador?
Look in the mirror. Where does USAIR send their metal for the heavies? AA was all inhouse before the merger. Do some research before posting.

I'll sign a card. I'll talk to guys and fill them in on what I know. I hope those pesky title 2 guys will finally see they are getting taken for a ride. ORD guys don't need to be held by the hand. At this point we all know what's at stake and the failures of the association. I'm sure ORD will have organizers to keep Russ at bay with his TWU propaganda. It will be great to see large participation from the IAM side. That will send a big message to the TWU guys that we had enough of this foot dragging negotiations and dysfunctional association. Let's hope for a great turn out of cards this time.

i think their hangar is not to far away from the one the new america west built in Brazil......you can probably google and see the new america west planes lined up at the same hangars.....
Big difference
1. AA employs its own employees there and they don’t overhaul planes there.

Whats ironic is back in the day i understand Russell Ditmer was a big amfa supporter. Everyone i talk to including gary peterson, gary shiable, russel ditmer and on down are "not fans of the association" i think thats the catch phrase they like to use. It makes it politically acceptable on either side of the fence
