You just make up crap. Why don’t you get a boy friend/girl friend. You need a life.
he might actually have a point. if and or when the iam loses the medical and pension, and they decide to pimp maintenance out to the twu that could make for some pissed off people.

I want to see the contract and vote! Unions always fight for jobs, but the company has the right to manage their company. I have been in aviation 40 years. I believe the longer this takes we are losing money. Just my opinion!

Here is your problem, unless a mx wants to have his own union, and his contract enforced, there wont be any other reason to switch to amfa since AA will have 14,000 mx while WN only 2,000.
AA will have much more scope + same or higher wages and benefits.
Before you get your panties in a wad, i think its smart for a mx to join amfa but the Association will get credit, and deservingly so, when it signs the industry leading contracts.

ILC? How can you call an offer from the co. ILC when the current offer eliminates positions and concessions are still included?? You better beloeve the asso. will get all the credit "they deserve" there cowboy. Including any lost positions, jobs, or maint in other cities etc... They already want to hatchet 2-3 groups within fleets groups, how in the heck can you call that offer ILC??? It will "NEVER" be considered ILC when concessions are involved, period.

I was "pissed off" back in '08 when they defaulted me into their failing pension plan and made it contractual.

Where do I sign?

Just more of the same stories with these pensions losing more and more money.
My Lord, if you guys get the chance to get out of this pension and replace it with a better retirement program, I hope you all take it. I also hope you guys are not forced into this pension too.

BS they are not eliminating any jobs that’s BS union speak to keep stringing us along and think they are saving us just like the left wing liberal government democrats
The company is trying to streamline the operations to be more competitive to be able to survive the next downturn in our economy.
They have stated more than once no one is loosing their job but you can be damn sure there will be layoffs if the union keeps stonewalling on this deal.
Every time they have met over the last year the company offers improvements in the agreement but the union just kept saying no.
Screw the union they are worthless POS who have no interest in helping any of us while they line their pockets with our dues money

its on jetnet feel free to print a copy and read it. i know it takes time and effort but try to exert yourself and actually read it. you may not be in such a hurry to vote then

You know what everyone else sees that some of your guys don't?

To some, industry leading means better than what we have.

Industry leading could also be less than what we have but better than what others may have. We can go backwards and still be industry leading.

I believe industry leading is over all cost of the package not individual articles

And the one on the table is between 18000 and 20000 dollar improvements to what we have. To me that is ILC.
If this drags on we won’t be able to recover those losses

Yes you can make changes to that one online with a couple of exceptions. We already know the scope won’t change nor will the insurance.
So find other parts the company is willing to upgrade.
Instead of focusing on what you can’t change find things you can and move on

Thats is true, unfortunately our associates are not interested in that. They are very happy shaking their heads no and we stimp our feet.

the only thing that will force compromise is a hefty fine. other then that we all pay the price.

Eastern Airline mechanics went on strike over contract offered to them by Lorenzo.

That offer was better then what the AA mechs contract was at the time.

Kind of like demanding restore and more during the Great Recession

Your position is neither established or supported in any way since all contracts have "line item" concessions of some sort.

I think the contract offer on the table at AA can be established as > AMFA WN contract. I think it will be easy to do so. It simply is worth more per capita. Same with fleet.
The math simply doesnt lie. The fleet proposal is a $120 million cost positive per year. Im not sure of the mx but even with line item concessions on scope its more than amfa. Look, i like amfa and, because of the large wage spike at wn, it was imputed at AA and amfa gets credit for that, especially since the dopey association didnt even ask for wages that high.
But, the association will and should get final credit.

have read several times and realize I will lose my pension in this contract. I will lose it from the union not the company. The pension will go into default again. The medical will be lost because the TWU members don’t care about saving $3.50 an hour by going to the IAM current insurance. I have lost a lot of money from waiting this long for a vote on the companies offer. I have not seen one Union business agent come to my city and show me what our contract looks like.
