Ignore, hardly, the AMTs at AA saw the extra lengths the TWU went to - to screw them just a little bit more than everybody else after 911! I have forgot more about the airline industry than you will ever know, so don't attempt to lecture me about airline deregulation. That happened a long time before you hired on at AA.

I can show them the whole story; you see, I like to save evidence of these failures. It will sell itself. As it turns out, I didn't have to say a thing, there are plenty of willing AMTs wanting to share their experience with the TWU and AA, suffice to say, it aint pretty.

Isn’t this a good thing? 50 heads at DWH with line pay is better then having OH do line work without line pay. What am I missing here?

No, not a good thing for DWH AMTs. He is proposing putting 50 "line" positions up fon the DFW bid to work RON/OTS aircraft at DWH. Going as far as poaching hangar space. This will cost us aircraft movement and OT .

Yes the mechanics sick time in 03 the first 2 days only half pay each occurrence. Then they Changed it to 1 day each occurrence mechanics only. Then for a while we didn’t even have our own local so we were out numbered. That didn’t change until the first AMFA drive, then they decided for us to have our on local. And our contracts we would have our on vote. But in one contract a fleet service president got to vote on weather on the mechanics ta be brought back This was all before 9-11 but twu has been screwing us mechanics in my 34 years . In 86 Bob Crandall in Tulsa when a mechanic asked about our pay. Bob told us to all vote in your own union. He explained that the company offered so much to the twu. And the twu decided how to divide to the twu groups. And here we are 30 plus year with 2 dysfunctional unions. And our pieces of the twu work group pie is only a sliver .

But that’ll be 50 dfw additional heads and ac movement and OT for dfw mechs. And there is no station that doesn’t survive without OT.

I seem to recall one of your beefs was doing line work as an OH AMT.

Tim told me that he went to Kinkos and had 100,000 cards printed in anticipation of the expected rush.

Union meeting today of course i didn't attend but im hearing likely PEB dont know the time frame though i would imagine Petersons exhibition might have delayed the process a while.You know a little company spite

50 more DFW positions means 50 more guys being able to transfer back to Texas.

My beef was and is doing the same work as DFW hangars for less pay. As to GP attempt at poaching DWH work, not even the company proposal suggested doing something so ridiculous.

I have no problem with DFW adding heads TO DFW. I have A BIG PROBLEM with them adding heads to be assigned to my station and take our work and OT.
