American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

You make this harder and make it take longer.

Why don’t you join together for the greater good and then when we make it past that battle you can go tear their throats out for all I care.

Otherwise fighting each other you know 100% feeds the Company.

I`ve been fighting Weez. I fight every night, every shift. Only one side is in this fight though. The IAM is fat dumb and happy. The damage to labor this unelected, illegitimate association has done is immeasurable and will have long lasting ramifications. Again, we were divided the minute this association was created. There will never be a unified membership as long as there are 2 unions with different agendas. Until we have ONE ELECTED union representing the membership with ONE voice we are screwed.

Do you know what they are doing in CLT? Perhaps you should reach out to a few people.

And I’ve heard what you wrote hundreds of times already. It’s more of a talking point now than anything else.

Feeling sorry for our circumstances and wallowing in our own personal supposed misfortunes is never going to lift you up Brother.

Is it true if the mechanics are paid Southwest Airline wages that comes to about an $8.00 raise? I don't know, just asking.

Yes there is a pay calculator posted on jetnet that shows you how much money you are leaving on the table

Yeah, I see CLT. They are fighting to keep their cadillac medical insurance and the ponzi scheme pension. Keeping a bright light on the screwing the LAA members took in the formation of this association is hardly "wallowing". That injustice will not be allowed to go quietly into the night. The bs letter from the company granting the poor IAM special compensation for moving to LAA medical was the last straw for me. We ARE divided and it was by design from the outset. Its hard to know who the enemy is. In my view the LAA folks are engaged in fight on all sides, the company, the association and the IAM. Our representative seems to be clueless and/or powerless to effectively engage in this fight. The only losers here are the LAA members.

That is not what I saw on Wednesday FYI. I saw a group of people all on the same page. Some priorities were a little lopsided here and there but it all did come back to the center.

The center being absolutely without a doubt, SCOPE.

What frustrates them though is honestly what some among the Membership think. Too many IMO.

Odd im.not screaming bloody murder that the company will be contributing billions to your frozen pension. We see none of that another point what would you do if you were in our shoes. In the end we are likely to give that all up anyway

The LAA frozen pension is not holding up negotiations. LUS clinging to a ponzi scheme union pension and the coveted medical IS.

You do recognize that you will likely get a decent sized portion of what you may be losing back in a retro check.

Offering station protection protects everyone on the property. How can we ask for industry leading in pay and benefits but not see that we also probably need to be more in line with the industry on scope. Just looking at both sides here
