Don't care how you guys vote but please vote. This should show a large turn out, as this is a big issue at hand. This is how AMFA works and this cannot be done at any other of the unions out there. This election for recall is an exact example of how officers are watched and monitored by the membership, true democracy in the works...

Can you comment on the issue at hand? Whats driving the recall?

I would also like to echo your sentiments on the importance of participation.

In a nut shell, our ALR took it upon himself to have 6 premium positions removed from the bid board. The co put up 18 inspector slots for the new 4th line. Our ALR desided to send an E-mail to all the top wigs from managers all the way up to and including GK. He stated he wanted only 12 positions put up for bid so the inspection dept could still work all the overtime they wanted. His actions have in fact blocked many members from advancing not only into premium insp slots but also blocked many, many other members from reeling the awards of trickle bidding into better days off, better positions, better work locations etc ect. His E-mail was only sent to management he did not CC anyone with the union and he says he did it all on his own. This sent the membership bizurk. Therefore he has been put under the recall process per AMFA's constitution.

I believe he did send a copy of the email to some inspectors.
I believe one of them leaked it to the general union members.

Hey guys, just a friendly reminder. The re-call vote for our ALR closes 6-7-13 @ 10am--TOMARROW!!! If you haven't already please take the whopping 2 minutes it takes to vote and vote. It's that easy...
WNMECH, I don't think the inspectors leaked the E-mail. I honestly think it was one of the listed names of the company who leaked it. Someone that maybe got very upset that this was sent to everyone instead of taking care of bus and keeping the issue on the maint side, know what I mean??

2013 SWA Airline Rep Recall Election Results

222 Voted Yes re-call ALR
139 Voted No to re-call ALR
A very sad 365 members voted. But it does show a rather large majority wanted change, and got change only because we are AMFA. No other industrial unions can you do this with, none...
