Aircraft maint issues

According to this lame update, nego's continue for you guys tomorrow. Looks like 3 days from 8-10. Why not the full week like the last two meetings? So now they are back to their typical 3 days. Day 1- arrive late and pretty much "catch up" where they all left off from last meeting. Day 2- back and forth thru out the day with no "real" progress yet again on any of the biggies, you know scope, pensions, retirement, health care, pay etc..., probably more like "progress" on bulletin board postings. Then Day 3- discuss when and how and where to meet next time, everyone is looking and going over their calendars, and maybe they will set the next dates and maybe not. Then they have to break early so to get everyone on flights back home. Once again there will be no "real" progress. The 3 days set instead of the 5 days speak volumes and still no updates what so ever. Most might say no news is good news but I'm not so sure about that with this asso at the helm.
Could be an interesting week. Latam and alaskan air both happened after negotiations. Lots of articles on a management shakeup, are they to the point were good news needs to be manufactured? I.e. a ta? Who knows, if the pilots start getting cranky...

Indeed. I too have read a many articles about Parker being on his way out. BOD are getting even more restless this week with ALK's moves after the Latam/Delta move, stock price in the tank and now investors are starting to cringe as well, which will light a fire under the BOD on pressures to make a move. Here lies the very next question; Who is in line to replace Parker? Any guesses?? Could it be a woman for a first at AA???

Parker has pulled enough stock money for 50 lifetimes of a normal retirement. If he goes it’s because he has stuffed his pockets full and wants to move on.

You maint guys hearing of any rumors about DC? Seems they sent everyone to DC for some reason...

Goodbye everybody, leaving the forum.

my suggestion to all.
Get qualified on everything taxi/LMP ETC.

Know how to read a schematic/wiring print along with the SRM.

It’s a small world your reputation precedes you.

I’m grateful to AA for all the training and experience I’ve received, and the experiences I’ve had.

I’m gonna take a leap here, and assume you got the call from DL. If that’s correct, congratulations and welcome!!

1. LATAM was out of their hands. Government regulations stood in their way.

2. Alaska isn't needed any longer and had been dissolving for a couple of years as well.

3. Doug Parker sits on the of Board of Directors.

4. The shareholders approved ALL members of the Board suggested by Parker just this past April.

1. Doug is the Chairman of the Board, that still doesn’t preclude the BOD from firing him.

2. All the BOD members ran unopposed.

Parker is pushing for this contract to be done so some good news comes out soon for AA. Plus it will help him going into nego's for Pilots and F/A's as they will get even more hairier.
