Aircraft maint issues

And shouldn't you just worry about fleet???

Just saying'

If it is as I've heard that we all go in together and all come out together, then how can we not be concerned about each other?

So if the company tries to screw you in say SCOPE changes then we're ALL giving the company the middle finger together.

AA Mechanics have been trying (cough cough) for 52 years now. And if you're IAM it was the IBT you were going for, not AMFA.

AMFA got only 8 (8) write in votes. 8 (8) 4 + 4 = 8

Eight.
Sorry I know I am on an AA board but I am Ex NWA and we were IAM and then AMFA so my point was in reference to what was happening at NW when we were ridding ourselves of the IAM. I made this point because the same thing is happening at AA.

WeAAsles, singing Kumbaya and group hugs hasn't worked for us.

I know you don't like this comment but maybe some of those guys are just interested and care about their friends. If I have friends in maintenance shouldn't I care about them and want to understand the difficulties they face?

I honestly don't like all this division between so many of us.

Maintenance hates Fleet
Fleet hates Maintenance
TWU hates IAM
IAM hates TWU
Line hates Overhaul
Overhaul hates Line
I hate NYer
NYer hates me
This group looks down on that group
That group looks down on this group

Why can't or why shouldn't an FSC want to support a Mechanic and vice versa? Seriously?

I cant say i disagree, fighting among the groups has never done anything good. If fleet can get something or vise versa, then so be it. From what i understand fleet is in agreement that ac moves stay with maint. We need to be smarter than to allow division, and support each other where we can.

And please remind me.

What do I pay union dues for?

Thank you.

A calendar and a T shirt.

Like I've stated before, if you dont like being in a union you can join management. Too much bitching and not enough action on here. Blame the union for all of your problems when in fact the AMTs are the union. Very weak!

The question asked was what do my union dues pay for? Where did I blame the union on that reply?
