AA/US continuation of good trend

Or watch the DL forum for any mention of US, no matter the context, and use that to justify long posts about how poorly DL is doing compared to US. Today's message could be centered on traffic for the year since DL's traffic was down for 2011 while US' was up...

apparently I hit a raw nerve in reminding you that US' business plan is the problem... and not anyone else's.
.
If you don't want to read what I write then start a closed forum where all of the happy US people can hand out group hugs to each other (yeah right)... or you can use the ignore function, a feature of this board.
WHAT PART of NO ONE gives Two Sheets about Y-O-U or what YOU think seems to be giving Y-O-U a problem? (I know it's soooooooooooooo easy for people LIKE YOU to hide behind a keyboard and spout diaherria out your mouth, or is it Your Arsce? Doesn't seem like much of a difference to Most of US). GET Lost Leech!

Not a nerve ... Just goin to call you out ... Again when did Parker ever say that ? Please also tell us all what is US's business plan ? Have you seen .. Did Parker Or Kirby show it to you..a spread sheet a flow chart? How long does US have before it is sold in pieces or scrap? (as you have mentioned many times) Get down off cross if you can and try a short reply!

if it is justified and supported by some sort of facts, go for it.
Problem is too many people take this way too personal. If it's opinion it is yours and no one can debate it. If it is based on something factual, it isn't hard to show who is right or not.
Parker has repeatedly said that US revenue underperforms the industry, US has disadvantages etc. If you haven't heard it, then it is probably because you don't want to.... but doesn't change reality.
.
Bottom line is if US wants to compete in the same league as the top players in the world, they have to demonstrate they are capable of doing so. Investors are smart enough to see what US has done w/ what it has done - and they aren't going to throw more money at US to satisfy hopes that AA can do for US what multiple mergers before haven't been able to do.

Yes he has and context means everything...but is ignored by some. Can anyone really say that it's reasonable to expect the smallest legacy carrier to produce the revenue that the bigger one's do? Only if they trying to justify a faulty assumption. Just think about what PRASM US would have to produce to generate more revenue from it's 40 billion enplaned passengers than DL does from it's 86 billion enplaned passengers. Then you can never forget that these remarks have been made during contract negotiations with the pilots - probably the most expensive group of employees US has.

Can anyone really say that it's reasonable to expect Charlotte or Philly to produce the same revenue as Dallas-Ft Worth, Chicago, or Atlanta? Only if they're trying to manufacture support for their bias. With 14 billion enplaned passengers for CLT vs 33 billion for ATL or 22 billion for ORD, CLT fares would be the highest in the nation by a wide margin for it to produce the same revenue.

Someone with a bias can pick and choose various data to paint whatever picture they want. Just don't call it "The Whole Truth"....

WT is a Delta hack who has perversely aligned himself with the "NO Way US" crowd at AA by not just hinting at our eventual demise--who knows it may or may not happen to us or even to DL--but by continually asserting how fruitless any hook up between AA and US would be. I suspect that this Deltaphile's motives are rooted more in his Deltalusions of grandeur than in any impartial informed analysis of the industry. Nothing would peeve him more than so see a transaction between AA and US--a possibility that I have no real position on--because he is the one fantasizing about acquiring the American assets that he thinks would help to buttress the Delta Empire that he fawns about. In post #95 he states: "right now, there are a number of strategic possibilities on the horizon including Virgin Atlantic, AS, and potential AA asset acquisitions... some of that may play out during 2012 and that also be part of why DL has no major strategic growth plans since right now putting money in the bank is the most important thing to do." A true vulture in vicar's clothing.

Apparently he is unaware that, despite the curtain he hides behind as he spews his all-knowing Deltaphilian drivel, he is transparent, disingenuous and phony, and every bit as ineffectual and insignificant as the wizard himself.

That sounds like a blatant falsehood to me. I could not find any mention of your screen name, even the shortened version, in any post on this thread until you popped off about how tired you were of all these posts about AA/US, at submission number 41.

The 'no way US' crowd was created in 2005. I think it is funny that the only time the bone-brain pilots come together is during a merger-wolf rumor. Hard to say which, eh hem, union thinks a merger will benefit :p

I hope the day comes when the pilot work group finally comes together and works toward making US Airways an airline that people want to fly.

Here is a little tidbit of info. Why have there been AA employees in plain clothes listed on the manifest as company business? Take it for what it's worth. ;)

Good post Jim!

LMAO!! Was this "tidbit" galley or jumpseat generated?? Maybe the Mayberry employee bus strategy bunker?? You know you'll need a source because a certain ICT/UCT pilot likes to quote everything he finds on the internet!!

You know, anywhere an AA would need to go to see anything U related could be done on AA metal.. But, of course there may be that need to observe LCC's customer experience..

TP, you can do better.. Tell us it was on your flight, not somebody's sister who worked in RES, that has an ex husband that sat next to one of them.... (good stuff BTW)!!
